This one isn't about the heartbreak you left behind;
this one isn't about the dreams you left haunted;
this one isn't about the loving arms you walked out of;
this one isn't that complicated or a mess of emotions;
this one is just a
goodbye and a thankyou......

This one is just a thankyou for the time you gave me,
though it never feels enough;
this one is a thankyou for all the moments we created,
though we deserved to have more;
this one is a thankyou for all those gentle smiles and the booming laughs I was previleged enough to see,
though they didn't deserve to
end so soon;
this one is a thank you for all the words you shared, now treasured like delicate pearls in the sands of my memory.

So, I guess it was a lie when I said this wasn't complicated and I wasn't a mess of emotions
because the truth is :
you are so far away and out of reach only leaving behind my tearing heart; but this one isn't a sad ballad about the hole your absence left;
it's just a thankyou for being there for the span you were.....

This one is a goodbye,
though I'd never be able to let you go; this one is a goodbye,
despite the fact that I'd never stop missing you and craving the comfort your mere presence brought;
this one is a goodbye
regardless of you always staying in my heart;
this one is a GOODBYE I NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO SAY IN PERSON.

This one is a thankyou for all you did for me, this one is a goodbye I never should have had to say.....

This one is for the girl who waited at the door thinking you'd come back home, this one is for the dad , who I believe wanted nothing more than just coming back home where his heart dwelled.......
This one's for US - forever together; despite being separated by life and death THIS ONE IS FOR US- ALWAYS TOGETHER.
