Surprise

Lillian's pov:

Luca and I were in my car catching up with each other. I felt like he never left. He told me about all the good food he ate and his school. He made it sound like a dream. I am thinking of doing an exchange semester but I don't know where I should go. France, Spain, Australia, Korea or the US could be cool. I wanted to leave everything behind but a part of me could not leave my brothers and friends. I loved Italy but I wanted to explore the world.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Luca asked while focusing on the road.
"No, I don't have time for that. What about you, did you meet someone?" I was curious. He never had a girlfriend before.
"I actually did meet someone. Her name is Laura, she was also an Italian exchange student." I was a bit surprised by hearing that. "Oh, did you do something with her? Does she live close? How old is she?" All these questions were popping up in my head.
"I kissed her under the stars, she lives 3 hours from here and is 17." I didn't expect him to answer that fast.

When we arrived at my house, I invited him inside and sat him on the couch while I was looking for the emergency kit.

I found it. I was walking to the living room to take care of his eye. I sat next to him, it looked pretty bad.
"I know you are lying. Who did this to you?"

I hope he was going to tell the truth.
"Like I said I was just stupid and clumsy, that's all." I knew someone did this to him, you don't get such a blue eye from being clumsy.
"Luca, you are getting on my nerves. Stop lying and tell the truth." I was applying a cream that I made myself. It helps to heal bruises faster.

I was close to his face, I could feel his breath against my neck. "Lilly, if I tell you you have to make sure not to tell anyone, do you understand?" I was getting a bit scared, why was he doing so dramatic over it.

"I promise" I holded his hand.
"There was this tall man, he was wearing all black. He said I should call you and say that the game will not go ahead. I said I wouldn't do that and then he punched me in the eye. He threatened to kill me if I said this to anybody. He finally walked away and shouted "I need a babysitter."

Omg, please don't tell me this is the man who I think it is.

"I have to go." I said to Luca.

Luca and I left the house together. He was walking home and I jumped in my car.

I knocked and rang the bell. After 2 minutes the door opened. I was ready to yell at that man.

The door opened revealing a tall man with blondish hair. He was wearing sweats.
"Can I help you?" I walked in the house.
"Do you know where Clara, her dad is? I need to speak to him for a minute."
"He is in his office, but doesnt like to be interrupted, should I call and say there is someone for him?" He said while grabbing his phone."No, I'm good" I said before running up the stairs.

I think I remembered where his office was.

I opened the door angry. I saw him sitting there doing some kind of paperwork.
"You think you can threaten my friend!" I walked over to him and slapped him in the face.
"If you are in desperate need of a babysitter you should ask someone else because you cannot expect that I will clear my whole schedule to take care of you daughter."

"I need you to take care of my daughter tomorrow and the day after?" He said straight away.
"You aren't even going to apologize? If you are not going to apologize I will not come." I said serious.

"I am sorry for hurting you friend." I was not expecting that from him. I thought I should beg him to apologize.

"I will be there tomorrow and the day after." I turned around and walked to the door. I didn't look back. He may be a pain in the ass but his daughter was so adorable.

I walked to the front door before being stopped by the guy from earlier."How are you not dead? What did you do?" I was confused. Why would he kill me?
"I needed an apology from him and got it." The guy looked at me confused.

I opened the door and walked to my car.
