Gossips

Lillian's pov:

I was walking down the hallway when Elena joined me.

"You know everybody is talking about you," she said excitedly. She loved gossip so she was waiting for an answer.

"Why is everyone talking about me? I didn't do anything." I was confused because I wasn't popular or anything.

"The hot guy that brought you to school in his fancy car. Who is he?" She was referring to Lorenzo, he was hot but I guess he just wanted to give me a ride.

I didn't want to say much about Lorenzo to my friends. Of course Rose, Dante and Carlo knew what happened that night and who he was but I asked them not to tell anyone.

"My car broke so he just offered me a ride" my car was old so I hope she believed it.
"Lilly, you are scared to walk alone and ask someone something. You want me to believe you got in a car with a stranger." She was right, I was afraid of a lot of things.

"Yeah"

I walked in my class a little late and everybody was already seated. There was only one place left. I couldn't see who it was so I just seated myself.

"Hi" I looked to my left and saw Luca sitting next to me. Not what I was hoping for. I forgot we had this class together. The last time I saw him was when he was hurt and I ran off.

"Luca, I am so sorry for how I left things with us. I have had a busy week and haven't had the chance to talk to you." I was feeling sorry, he didn't deserve this. "It's okay Lilly, you have nothing to apologize for." He grabbed my hand and stroked it.

During the lesson we talked a lot. The teacher called us out multiple times but we kept going. I forgot how it was with him. We were laughing until my stomach hurt and I left a tear.

The bell finally rang. It was not like we were paying attention. "Do you wanna grab lunch?" he asked.

"Yeah sure" I was pretty hungry after my not so filling breakfast.

We went to a cute lunch place around the corner. I ordered myself a salmon toast and some eggs.

"Who was the mystery guy this morning?" I hoped he wouldn't have heard it but he did. It was the guy who gave you a black eye, I said to myself.

"I was late and he saw me running and offered me a ride." His facial expression was confused. I hate lying to people but sometimes it is for the best.

My phone started ringing. The caller ID was Lorenzo. I was with Luca, should I pick up?

"Excuse me for a moment, I have to take this?" Luca nodded his head.

"Hey, why are you calling?" I was wondering why he was calling me? He just saw me this morning.

"You will babysit Clara tomorrow?" his voice was rude and deep, he sounded completely different than last night. Last night he sounded so vulnerable.

"On one condition. you ask me nicely" I could hear him sigh on the other side.

"Could you please babysit Clara tomorrow?" I never thought he would actually do that.
"I'll be there by seven"

I saw Luca waiting outside.
"I already paid and you don't have to pay me back." He didn't let me speak and grabbed my hand.

We were walking back to school holding hands. I felt a bit uncomfortable and embarrassed. People were looking at us and we weren't even a couple.

When we came to school it was time to go back to our lessons, we said goodbye and parted our ways.
