(Just kidding)
Hola, amigos! (That's better)
Well, here's chapter 9! I hope you all enjoy! :)

“So, what do you have planned for our date?” I asked Tyler excitedly as we walked to his car.
“I told ya it was a surprise. You’ll see,” he said, opening the passenger door for me. He walked around and got in the driver’s seat, turning his old, red truck on and backing out onto the main road.
We drove for about 10 minutes until we came up to a very familiar site.
“The Drive-In?!” I asked, jumping in my seat.
He laughed at my reaction, turning into the giant lot. “Yup. I think you’re gonna like the movie, too. It’s a classic. They’re doing re-runs of older movies.” I looked at him expectantly. “Tonight’s The Sandlot,” he said, grinning at me.
“No way! I love that movie!” I clapped excitedly, hopping out of his car once he parked backwards toward the screen. He opened the gate to the bed of the truck and I saw piles of blankets and pillows sitting there. “Ah, you’re killin’ me, smalls,” I laughed, hauling myself into the bed of the truck.
I couldn’t help but have an aww moment in my head when I saw bags of goodies, too.
“This is perfect, Tyler!” I snuggled under the blankets and leaned back against the cab. He climbed in and sat next to me, getting comfortable too.
“So, I have a pretty impressive selection of snacks, as you can see,” he said, gesturing dramatically towards the goodie bag. “Popcorn, Hershey’s, Reese’s Minis, Sour Patch Kids, Gummy Worms, Kit-Kats, Cool Ranch Doritos, Twix, and you can’t forget the hot coffee!” He smiled and grabbed a large thermos.
He took two mugs from the bag and poured us steaming cups of coffee. “And I know you don’t like just plain, black coffee, so I brought creamer, sugar, and whipped cream.” He smiled and pulled out all the stuff. He reminded me of Merry Poppins, pulling out an endless supply of items from this medium-sized bag. I’m pretty sure he brought every single one of my favorite snacks!
How did he know?
“I have my ways,” he said, smiling.
I gave a goofy grin, thinking about all the trouble he went through to prepare it all.
When the movie started, I couldn’t help but laugh at all the classic moments. I remembered them so vividly. I loved this movie when I was a kid and watching it again with Tyler was so much fun. He even recited some lines with me, making us both laugh at our geekiness.
It was a perfect night, too. Cool enough of a breeze to make you want to snuggle in a warm, fluffy blanket, have a hot cup of coffee, and snuggle with a Tyler. And luckily, I had those things, including a Tyler.
Near the end of the movie, I could feel my eye lids growing heavier. I nodded on and off and then I remember just giving in and conking out.

“Having fun on your date?” He sat on the edge of a familiar red truck.
“What do you want?” I asked, slumping slightly. I felt to my right and saw Tyler was gone. Of course he couldn’t be here…
