The Dream SMP but in the Victorian Era
"Clay," Said Nicholas as he grabbed his hat off of the coatrack. "We should go."
Clay looked up from his desk and at Nick. His hair was askew, the top several buttons of his shirt were undone, and looked rumpled.
Nick thought he looked adorable.
Clay turned back to his paper and scribbled down several notes. Satisfied, he stood up and began putting on his coat.
They were off to see their friends, Darryl, Zak, George, Sam, Wilbur, and some others.
Their parents called them the Chaos Coven. Some other townspeople had taken to calling them that as well.
Ditching the hat, Clay grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter and shoved them into his pocket.
Nick walked up to him and gave him a light kiss on his mouth. Then, the boys broke apart and headed into the night.
Zak was bored.
No, more accurately, he wanted attention.
But Darryl was busy.
"I'm almost done," Darryl said, clacking away on the typewriter.
"Darrylllllllllll," He said, stretching out the L. "We're supposed to be meeting at the Tavern soon."
Sighing, Darryl rose out of his seat and began searching for his coat. "Fine. Let's go."
Zak smiled and kissed him on the cheek. The edges of Darryl's lips turned upwards.
Once at the Tavern, Nick and Clay made their way upstairs. There was a spare room up there, and since all the members of the Coven were the regulars, that room was always made available for them when they needed it.
Opening the door, Nick saw that Tommy, Wilbur, Toby, Niki, Zak, Darryl, and some of the others had already congregated around the round table in the center of the room. Others, like Schlatt and Alex were at the liquor cabinet, pouring themselves glasses of whiskey or port.
"So," Toby said, leaning against the well worn table. "What are we doing?"
This is a shit idea, Alex thought as he pulled out his pocketknife.
It had been Schlatt's idea to break into the local convenience store. Somehow, most people had agreed to it, but Darryl was still shooting a disapproving look at Zak.
Alex had no idea why he had agreed to his ex's plan, especially his abusive ex at that. At least he had convinced Tommy and Toby to go home. They were good kids, they didn't need to have breaking and entering as a part of their reputation.
Alex jimmied his pocketknife into the side of the window, trying to see if there was any loose area to get the window to open. Luckily, there was, and after a minute, the window was open.
"Nice."
Alex jumped.
"Relax, it's just me."
Alex turned to see Wilbur standing behind him.
"Oh. Hey." Alex said, then turned back around and started to squeeze in through the window. He fell and landed inside.
"Ow." He said as Wilbur chuckled. He brushed himself off as Wilbur shimmied through the window frame. Will offered a hand. He took it, pulling himself up. When he got up, he stood face to face with Wilbur.
They stared at each other for a few seconds, before Alex blushed and turned away, clearing his throat.
"I think the storage room is over there." He said, heading down a dimly lit hallway.
He opened the door to the storage room, flicking on the lights. Opening his satchel, he shoved in random things he found. Gum, cigarettes, a lighter.
Wilbur, meanwhile made a beeline for the chocolate bars.
"What?" Will asked, unwrapping one. "I like chocolate."
Alex rolled his eyes as Nick poked his head in.
"Hurry up, guys, we don't really have much time. Someone tipped off the cops, they'll be here any minute."
