CHAPTER TWO: HISTORY

"IM SORRY ABOUT LAST NIGHT. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN." Chloé apologized for no reason. It was the crack of dawn, meaning my first lesson is starting in about half hour.

"There's nothing to apologize, it was fun." I shrugged, putting my eyeliner on then fixing my hair in front of the mirror whilst Chloé was still in bed. "Besides, the family was cool as fuck."

"Yeah bet."

"Anyway, weren't I supposed to meet this man of yours? I didn't see no white boy that helped me get into this school."

I heard Chloé groan as I mentioned her man. I couldn't help but laugh. "Nigga I told you he ain't my man, besides he was busy, you'll meet him soon enough." She failed to throw a pillow at me, I'm guessing she's still hungover.

I look over at the other side of the room to see Diana's shirt, all dried to be taken back. I grab it putting it in my school bag to take to hers later on today.

"Anyway, I'll see you later. Wish me luck on my first day." I give my best friend a kiss on the cheek before heading out to my first class...

And I was shitting bricks.

**
Making it to class early was an understatement, there was no one in the room yet. That's because I wanted to make a good first impression, despite missing a whole week class. Minutes moved on and the class began to swarm people. I noticed there were barely any black people in the course and hardly any students. I was told it was a rigorous course and a lot of people didn't get in or have dropped out or been kicked out.

A beautiful tall black girl with 20 inch hair done stood in front of my seat. She stared down at me, trying to be intimating but I didn't let her. "Can I help you?" I snapped.

"Yeah. You in my seat." She has a thick Texas accent.

I wasn't trying to get into any fight so I packed my bags to get up and leave just as I was about to leave she laughed, showing her pearly white teeth. "I'm playing with you. Nice to see another sister in here."

"Oh." Was all I could get out.

"But I'm not kidding that's usually my seat but imma let you slide." I mentally make a note of it and began to open my books. I see another black sister walk in, she had blonde hair and glass like skin. We locked contact together and she soft smiled at me.
