CHAPTER FOURTEEN: ELIJAH POWERS

WASHING MY MAKEUP AWAY IN THE BATHROOM I WAS TRYING TO GET MYSELF SOBER. I was still at this damn party but things seemed to be going smoothly i must've seen Tariq chilling with Lauren despite seeing Diana here somewhere and I'm pretty sure Chloé and Brayden were somewhere kissing again.

I sighed seeing the reflection of myself of how much of a mess I was. I was trying to remember what happened in the last hour with Riq apologising, Cane being hella aggressive and most importantly feeling shitty about leaving Elijah.

Ugh this shit was supposed to be boys free zone but that shit doesn't exist when you're at a party. I finally leave the bathroom to loud music and I feel much better than I was before. I decided to step outside and get some fresh air and i see Diana sitting at the porch.

"Hey D." I groaned, sitting next to her as I tied my hair up. "You okay?" I noticed she seemed a little down.

"I'm chill." She replied. I haven't spoken to her since bringing back her shirt and seemed like a nice girl. "Actually I gotta ask this question."

"Go on."

"How many bitches is Tariq fucking?"

I almost chocked on my saliva. "Sorry, I'm not fucking him if that's what you're asking." I mean we literally had this conversation before.

"No.. I know," She paused. "I mean he's giving me mixed signals one minute he wants me the next he runs to the blonde bitch." I quickly figured out who the blonde bitch is.

"Lauren." I sighed. She's innocent, annoying but innocent. "You ain't gotta worry about her, she's got a boyfriend from what I heard in DC."

She finally looked at me. "Doesn't look like it. I saw them go into a room, properly fucking."

"Tariq is smart he wouldn't drag her into this mess we are in. If anything it's a fuck and delete thing he hasn't a serious girlfriend since freshman of high school." I laughed at the memory.

"Why's that funny."

"It didn't work out because of me." I shrugged. "I guess she didn't like the fact his only best friend was a girl."

"I mean I hear it but y'all act like siblings so there's no real threat."

"Not according to Lilith."
