Peak of Paradise

We got out of the car.

"Take this and get in, I'll lock the car in the meantime".

"Sure". I take a few of the bags and went in. I walk upstairs. I need to sleep but I have to take a bath, brush my teeth. I check the time and it reads 03:34. That's late for sleep but I've got nothing planned for today.

Anuj's POV:

"Yes GK everything is okay. I know the news have traveled a long way by now but we are ready to face whatever and, even if Anupama can't handle everything on her own I'm not going anywhere I'm still into the business and we'll help each other. I'm sure I made the best decision".

"I'm glad you feel that way. Now go and rest before you pass out". He says

"I'll hang up now GK". I put the phone in my pocket and sat on the car for a while. My Anupama is yet to start her life with me. To say I'm happy is an understatement I really want to give her the best I could even if it means leaving everything to her I know very well that she can handle everything on her own. I trust her so much that I can lay my own life down just to see her happy and content. This is going to be the start of our lives and I can't wait to show her all the glory, all of life in this whole universe and that's exactly what I am doing.

I get in the room finding her dozing off to sleep, the room is dim lit. I tip toe to the bathroom, take a shower, brush my teeth and walk in to join her in bed. I get in as careful as I can. She shifts closer as soon as I lay. Her back on my chest and we cuddled peeking my hand over her waist. I kiss her head before sleep washes over me. She feels warm in my embrace, her head resting in my arm. She holds on tight on my waist, buries her head in my chest before taking a lung full. She moans, looks up to my sleepy face. She knows I'm awake so she politely, with her deep morning voice greet me.

"Good morning Mr Kapadia".

I don't respond. She chuckles.

"Good morning baby". She attempts again.

Only then I let out a smile and she kisses my lips. She attempts to get off but I hold her back. She rolls back in under the white sheets and crosses over her arm. I open my eyes to meet up with hers. She rests her head on the pillow and just smiles.

"Good morning to you too baby". She suddenly feels shy, her cheeks shoot to red almost immediately. I love it when she does that.

"Look at me". She proudly raises her head.

"Anupama"

"Mhh"

"I love you"

"I love you too"

I lean in for a kiss, she sprints out of the covers all the way to the bathroom. There she goes again with her silly shyness. I've literally kissed her every single part of her body and now she...

What was that?

"Anu!"

I get off the sheets to the bathroom where she is. She is throwing up. I rush to her, picked up her hair before she stained them. She looks at me asking for water before she throws up again.

"Get it all out first Anu, then drink water". She wipes her mouth with the towel and sits herself down. She covers her not so well looking face with her blue saree. My baby!

"Anu are you okay?" I give her water. She gulps it down and nods.

"I don't know really. It must have been something I ate". I look at her.

"It's chocolate. It has to be".

"Maybe".

"Anupama you literally eat everything that's brown in color". She looks back at me.
