Chapter: 50

Mariana sat behind the house, listening to the birdsong with the breeze ruffling her hair. She took a sip of her tea and sighed happily, enjoying the summer heat and the fresh smell of the flowers outside. Months have passed since her fight with the Witches, and slowly she has almost nursed herself back to health. She could walk around on her own without help, and her burnt skin was no longer painful to look at, although sometimes when she walked into a bright light it seemed like it still hurt, so she would take some ointment for that, but otherwise, she could move about freely. She was glad with her progress, and in truth could not wait to be able to go about her plans once again.

The Witches may have caused a pause in her efforts, but she was glad to know that her son hadn't completely lost it to the Lycan since she could still use his energy to get into the Lycan's head. She picked up her teacup and brought it to her lips, but frowned when she noticed it was empty. She got on her feet to go back into the house when she felt a gust of wind as if someone blew on her shoulders. She turned around just in time to see her son standing behind her. He was panting heavily, and on his hands, the Book Of Neer. A smile so wide spread across her cheeks at the sight. She sure was not expecting to find him there and with the Book, Dare has been dying to have all these years.

Caleb frowned when he noticed how slowly she was healing, and it didn't take him another minute to restore her health to the way it used to be, and once his mother was well and her strength restored, she dragged her son to her room and there they opened a portal and disappeared from Deivl. Leaving no trace behind. Both mother and son found themselves a good place in the mountains. They stayed there for another few weeks, studying carefully the unknown language in the Book, and if it wasn't for Caleb, she would not have been able to figure out all the words in the book at all. They found spells that could kill him, they found certain fruits he was not meant to eat, fruits with the capacity to weaken a Lycan and leave them prone to attack. Then they found the bond of a Soulmate. The easiest, quickest, if they can find who his Soulmate was.

"There's only one way to draw them both out in the open," Mariana suggested to her son and smiled when he gave her the look that said 'go on'. "We attack the Clan tomorrow, and after that, we will attack the Coven as well, with the Lycan hiding away, and would not be able to protect his Packs, it would be easier, and would surely draw him and his Soulmate out." Her eyes were shining like two black holes that would suck him in, and she knew it made Caleb uneasy.

Her son thought for a long moment before he nodded, looking pleased, and then his eyes grew darker and more serious. "Let us begin tomorrow, I will rip their barriers apart, giving you passage into their Towns, the rest should be easy for you to do." He said, voice darkening to match his face. "I will be with you, feeding you energy as you wreak havoc on them, and take your revenge." He had a glint of triumph in his eyes that made her smile wider than ever before.

After the sun went down and the moon rose higher, they moved into action. They both arrived at the oblivious Clan that once belonged to him, and Caleb brought down their Barriers easily, granting his mother passage into the Clan Land. It was quiet at night, a few Warriors patrolled the grounds but they were easy prey as Mariana knocked them down quickly as she proceeded to enter the Clan Land. And by the time the Weretigers knew they were under attack, it was almost too late. The Council of Elders came out to attack her, and while the fight lasted, the Coven and a few Werewolves arrived at the scene, Mariana had to signal for Caleb to go over to Blood Coven, now that they were distracted with helping the Weretiger Clan, they are open for attack and Caleb nodded and left his mother.

His attack on the Blood Coven was swift, just a little spell was all he needed to set the Coven aflame. He had already destroyed a lot of property, he could destroy the entire Blood Coven with ease, and he took his great time in doing it too, but made sure he did not hurt a soul, which didn't last because as soon as his mother arrived, she began to race death upon the Witches, killing the two Witches who attacked her first before proceeding to kill many more. Having left the Weretiger Clan once they noticed they couldn't win against her, they all vanished from her sight, and she didn't have the time to chase after them, so she joined her son in Blood Coven.
