"Why can't I have my own birthday?!" Dirk grumbled as he paced the Penthouse, glaring at his parents. Although he hasn't seen the Triplets since their eighth birthday, he still would like to have his sixteenth with his own group of friends. He shared birthdays with the Triplets for eight years, then his Father was called back to the Pride, and he took him along. Dare would refuse to come at first but eventually joined in when he got pregnant and just like always, Caleb got pregnant too. Once again, they both had Omegas whom they have both found their pride and joy and yet they won't let them be.

"You haven't seen them in eight years!" Leon replied from where he sat in an armchair by the fireplace. "Be a little excited, you all will be having your first shifts tonight, and need I remind you, hopefully finding your Mates... As the Soulmate to the Alpha of Alphas, I must be there, and that can't happen if I am here throwing a birthday party for you." He tried to reason with his stubborn son. Dirk took so much of his Birth Omega in stubbornness, and it's almost impossible to talk him out of his ideas.

"Birth Omega?" He grumbled, turning to Dare, who peaked up from where he sat eating lunch with Layla, his sister. "Please, talk Dad out of this idea, I mean we can stay here and celebrate my first Shift while he goes over to celebrate with his Soulmate." He pouted.

Dare smiled, looking from his Mate to their son, then back at his meal. "Trust me, Dirk, this will be the best night of your life, and I'm certain you would forget about this tantrum once you've arrived at River Bay, you'll see." He scooped a spoonful and brought it to his mouth. Dirk grunted and stormed out of the living room, and into his own.

"He's just as stubborn as you are," Leon sighed in exasperation.

"Says the one who defiled his Father, and his Pride to be with a Rogue Omega," Dare teased in reply, earning a chuckle from Leon.

"Hey, you're my mate, nothing I could have done on the matter," Leon reminded him.

"You are a Pride, you can choose and reject any mate at any time..." Dare fought back.

"And I chose you, and will do it all over again if I must," Leon replied, sending a wink his way before getting on his feet to excuse himself.

Conri has been yelling in their Link the past minute and he only pretended not to have heard him speak. Leon with a smile walked into his room shutting the door behind him, he called back into their Link. "What is it, Soulmate?" He asked, taking a seat on the bed. "Trying to rend my ears useless, are we?"

"When are you getting here?" Conri demanded, and Leon chuckled when he heard the panic in his voice. "It's chaos here, the Triplets are worse than I am... They had lists of all the girls and boys they had the slightest crush on handed over to me this morning, and warned that I better make sure they all are present at their birthday since they are almost certain someone amongst them has to be their Mate!" Conri rambled on, and Leon couldn't stop laughing. "Hey, stop laughing, this is a serious problem." He scolded, though his laugh betrayed him. Leon continued chuckling until Conri cleared his throat. "Oh, yes, lest I forget, my Birth Omega said they would have one mate, not separately... One!"

This had Leon's laughter dropped, and his face morphed into shock. "One mate?" He gasped. "Those three who never agree upon anything, could they share one mate?!" Leon exclaimed, now wide-eyed at the thought.

"See why I worry?" Conri huffed, crossing his arms.

Leon laughed loudly enough for Conri to hear him. "Okay, okay, calm down, maybe it wouldn't be so bad..." he began, trying to reassure him. "Look at it this way, maybe a mate is what they need to bring them together, to begin to grow their bonds, and help them stay focused on what truly matters." Leon pointed out logically.
