Fantasmas: Ghosts in Las Almas
They discovered that the Mexican cartel in Las Almas was assisting Hassan. Captain Price, Laswell, and Gaz captured a cartel member after they finalized a transaction within Iranian in Amsterdam. Colonel Vergas was put in charge to make sure Hassan didn't try and cross the border dividing Mexico and the US. They tried to get help from the local LPD, but a missile hit them. Rodolfo found Hassan but was almost burnt alive in the process forcing Colonel Vergas to save Rodolfo, enabling Hassan's escape.
Fortunately, they both survived. Rodolfo discovered that they were shipping something over the Atlantic. Hassan retreated to Las Almas with the protection of the cartel. We received orders that Soap, Ghost, and I were joining the Mexican Special Forces in Las Almas. Phillip Graves and his Shadow Company were tasked with PMCs to assist us. This would help us not start a war with Mexico.
They wasted no time to send us in a helicopter to Las Almas. Ghost was very tense, and I couldn't help but smile a little. Soap looked at me and then at Ghost.
"Why the smile Geist?" Soap asked and I shook my head. Ghost scoffed and glared daggers at me. Soap shrugged it off.
The helicopter landed and the ramps opened. As I walked off, I saw who I presumed were Colonel Alejandro Vergas and Rodolfo approaching us. Alejandro was a big man, with tanned skin, black hair, and a beard. Rodolfo was more on the shorter side, also tanned skin and black hair.
"Alejandro!" Soap exclaimed. Ghost walked off and looked both ways while making his way up to them. Always vigilante.
"Sergeant MacTavish." Alejandro greeted as he extended his hand to Soap.
"Call me Soap." Soap smiled as he shook Alejandro's hand. Alejandro turned to Ghost.
"Lieutenant...Laswell says they call you Ghost." Alejandro smiled.
"Actually, I think he prefers to be..." Soap started before Ghost cut him off.
"That'll do!" Ghost exclaimed making Soap stop. Alejandro chuckled before turning to me.
"You must be Lieutenant L/N...Also known as Poltergeist?" Alejandro smiled.
"Correct Colonel Vergas." I nodded. He chuckled lightly and extended his hand. I shook his hand.
"No need for formalities. Call me Alejandro." He leaned down and kissed the back of my hand. I furrowed my eyebrows, for a second, in shock.
"Welcome to the city of souls." Alejandro let go of my hand and turned around. I noticed immediately Ghost moving away to stand in between me and Alejandro. His posture and walk were tenser now as well.
"I've never been to Mexico." Soap smiled as he walked beside me.
"This isn't Mexico...This is Las Almas." Alejandro chuckled as we walked towards the trucks.
"Shepherd's contractors are inbound to reinforce. They're bringing hardware." Ghost looked at Alejandro. "They'll need room."
"My base is yours base." Alejandro nodded.
"Good. Now, where's Hassan?" Ghost asked.
"Cartel safe-house, ten clicks from here." Alejandro nodded and opened the car door for Ghost. "Get in."
Ghost stood aside and looked at me. I rolled my eyes.
"Age before beauty," Ghost said smugly.
"Then why aren't you getting in?" I raised my brow sarcastically. Ghost glared at me as Alejandro tried his best to not laugh. He wasn't successful.
