River haunted by a Poltergeist
The area was being surrounded but the Mexican army which was bad news. We were still in the building waiting for orders from Alejandro to be given.
"Once they're clear, we fall back," Alejandro stated.
"You want us to engage the fucking Mexican Army?" Soap furrowed his eyebrows.
"No carnal, these troops are paid by die cartel," Alejandro corrected him. "They are helping the cartel to protect Hassan."
I aimed my gun near a window while still staying hidden. Ghost took cover opposite from me and holding his gun close to him.
"Hold your fire. We'll dig in until my men are clear," Alejandro ordered. I nodded and kept my eye on the truck that was closing in on us.
"Weapons free!" Alejandro yelled and I soon started to fire at them. Some of them raised their shields up blocking our bullets.
"They're armoured!" Soap exclaimed.
"Target the helmets! They are weak," Alejandro ordered. I soon started to take my shots. Ghost soon started to snipe some that were still getting out of the trucks. Ghost is an amazing sniper I would give him that. After a while of shooting back and forth Alejandro told us his men were clear.
"Then we need to move!" Soap exclaimed.
A smoke grenade was thrown into the room as Alejandro and Soap were giving us the green flag to go.
I coughed and wiped the debris from my eyes.
"Fall back." Alejandro ordered.
"Come on get up!" Ghost ordered as he helped me onto my feet.
"Through the window come on!" Soap took my arm. Alejandro jumped out of the window with Soap and I following soon after. We started to make our way down the hill with the army right on our tail.
"We will lose them in the mountains." Alejandro ordered as he started making his way down the hill. "Fan out and stay close. Straight to the bridge!"
Soap stayed close to Alejandro.
"Stay close to me!" Ghost said as he started descending the hill. I followed close by as we heard the army approaching us and firing at us.
The terrain on the hill was extremely hazardous. It was steep and loose stones on the paths alongside fall tree logs. We made it to some large boulders on the mountain and took cover.
"Get cover and return fire!" Ghost ordered as he started to fire back towards the enemies.
"You alright?" Ghost asked as he returned fire.
"Never better Lieutenant!" I shouted and aimed my rifle and started firing back at the enemies, shooting some of the men square in the face and chests.
I soon spotted a grenade being thrown towards Soap and Alejandro.
"Soap! Grenade!" I yelled and saw them taking cover from the explosion. After a few more shots it seemed clear.
"Let's move! Go!" Alejandro yelled.
We resumed our descend on the hill while we were in the clear.
"You know this trail?" Soap asked as he followed.
"Very well," Alejandro paused. "But so does the army..."
"We can't hold off an army. We need extraction," Ghost said sliding down a steep downslope.
Soon we were being shot at again.
"Shit! Get cover!" I yelled and slid behind a boulder. I started returning fire while Rodriquez was getting comms up. Ghost was taking cover with Soap a few meters ahead of me.
