chapter one

Quick note: I forgot to say, but this will take place two months after initiation.

Tris POV

I woke up next to Tobias. He was still sleeping. I looked over at the clock, and it was only 6:30.

Initiation ended two months ago. Since then, I moved in with Tobias. My jobs are Tattoo artist, and initiate trainer with Tobias. The next choosing ceremony will be in eight months.

I sighed as I rolled onto my back. I usually don't wake this early. Usually it's Tobias who wakes before me. I got up and went to the bathroom. I just sat on the counter for what felt like forever.

I heard shuffling feet. I knew it was Tobias. I un-locked the door. After a few minutes the door opened.

"What are you doing sitting on the counter?" Tobias asked while yawning.

"I woke up early, and had nothing to do." I said.

"So, that's why your sitting on a counter?" he asked.

"Pretty much." I replied.

"I'm going to get ready. I suggest you do the same." he said.

"Sure." I said as I got off the counter.

Tobias went to go get some of his clothes, and then he went into the bathroom. I got dressed in my normal clothes, and went down to the dinning hall. I only saw Chris, Uriah, and Will there.

"Where's everybody?" I asked.

"I don't know, but Zeke's probably hungover." Uriah said.

"What did he do this time?" I asked.

"He got drunk, first near the chasm, and then he said he was going to have a party with him self. I didn't care to see who his party went." Uriah said.

"Probably ended with him and Shauna making out." Chris said.

"I don't want to be an uncle!!" Uriah shouted.

"Uriah, we don't need the whole compound to know." Chris said.

"Why not?" Uriah asked.

"Because I said probably, I didn't say they did." Chris said.

"Yeah, but we all know Zeke." I said.

"True." Chris said.

Just then Tobias came in. Marlene was behind him. They sat down at the table.

"Where is everyone?" Tobias asked.

"Zeke is mostly likely hung over, and I don't know about everyone else." I said.

Tobias shrugged his shoulders. I looked down at Tobias's watch. I had to get to the tattoo parlor soon.

"I have to go." I said.

"Bye." Everyone said.

I got up and left to the tattoo parlor.
