I slowly started to wake up from what felt like a really, really, really long sleep. When I opened my eyes, I've found myself to be in a room of some kind, a dark room, with the only light source being a tube like container that's opened up, from where I was standing in.
"Where... am I"
I was still groggy, so I slowly started to get out of the tube.
Once I felt stable enough, I looked down to find that I'm wearing a white shirt, black pants and shoes, and I was wearing a sort of black, synthetic fabric bracelet on both my right and left wrists. The Material of the Shirt, pants and bracelet feels so soft and natural, but I don't recognize it.
I tried to take the bracelet off, but couldn't. I tried to do the other but met the same result. it's almost like it's refusing to come off. So I gave up on it, and my eyes started to wandered the room, until my eyes landed on the display screens that're attached to the tube.

[Stasis pod no: 001]
[Name: Myles]
[Time in pod: 1000 years. Current year: 3025]
...
"Eh...?"
1000 years? 3025?
That can't be right the year is 2025.
???: Good morning
I jumped at the synthetic version of my voice and quickly searched the dim lightened room to find the source.
???: Ah, sorry for startling you.
A figure then appeared in front of me, out of thin air. From which I can see perfectly, despite the darkness.
It was a brown haired man with sidebands going to the right, in a cybernetic jump suit. But what really got me was the face.
it's My face! Well, apart from the eyes, mine are brown, but this guy's eyes glow blue.
I could only stare at him, as he took a look at me and frowned.
???: You're probably confused about your current situation, as your memory is still returning to you after a thousand years in Stasis.
Oh yeah, I am BEYOND confused.
???: Do you remember your name at least?
I hesitantly replied as the name slowly came back to me.
Me: Myles...
The Man smiled
???: Well, that's a good sign. It means your memory will return in time.
Me: and you are? Also, Why do you look just like me?
???: Ah, Sorry. I'm M.S.A.I.
Mental Self Artificial Intelligence.
But please, Call me SAI. But I'm not any normal AI.
Me: Wait what?
"SAI" takes a step forward towards me.
SAI: I'm you, a AI version of you.
SAI then touches the right side of his head in a specific spot, behind his ear.
SAI: try feeling around here.
I then did as he instructed, and feel around behind my right ear, my fingers ran over a peculiar bump that I know wasn't there before.
Me: is this... A scar?
SAI: you're able to see me because of the microchip implant the Government put in you, along with the vast knowledge of the human race.
Well, that answers my questions.
Me: okay, that explains how you appeared so suddenly. And why you don't appeared to be affected by the dark. But Why would the Government do that? Why put me in that tube? In fact, Where are they?
SAI then frowned, looking sad. It wasn't long before he holds out his hand, and a white window with a arrow pointing towards the right appeared.
SAI: please, watch this video. It's corrupted but I was able to restore it partially. Enough for you to understand what happened somewhat.
He brings it up to me and a video started to play. A man in a Lab coat with blonde hair and freckles came into view, who looked like he was in pain.
???: Good morning Myles.
Please d--t reply -------------- a rec---ing.
By then time you s-- this.
Humanity is no more.

Myles. We're all sorry for doing this to y--. But the hu--n legacy Dep---s on you.
Then I saw something that shook me to my core. Pure Black veins started to creep up from along his neck, and the skin turned black around the area.
It started to spread up, and the man grunted in pain, but despite that, he smiled, and said his last words, which weren't affected by any corruption.
???: Don't give up hope, Myles. I'm rooting for you.

The video ended.
What...? No... Nononononono
I just stood there, and my breathing became rapid.
Humanity is Dead? I'm the last human alive? What was that creeping up on his neck? Is that what happened to them? Why? How?
SAI: "Step it back"
I didn't notice that SAI appeared from behind me with a hand on my shoulder, as I was panicking. The room seemingly started to disappear as if going out of focus.
SAI: at times like this, you need to take a step back.
What he said to me, sounded familiar. And, upon instinct, I closed my eyes and breathed in through my nose, Then out through my mouth. I immediately feel all the panic leaving my body, Clearing my mind.
SAI: what did the doctor say towards the end? In the video.
Me: he said... "Don't give up hope"
SAI: should you give up hope?
Me: ... No. There's still many things that I don't know. And it's possible that there are other humans who may have survived like me.
SAI: I do detect intelligent life forms outside. But that doesn't mean that they're human.
So... What're you going to do now?
Me: ... Get out of here, and find out what really happened.
The room came back into focus and I turned to SAI who was smiling.
SAI: ... At least you remember your go to method of calming down.
I nodded, I was still a bit scared.
SAI: Well, no use waiting here.
Don't worry, I'll handle the navigation and fetch any information from the mass of Data humanity left in your head. Also allow me to walk you through some of the functions of the chip.
Me: okay...
SAI then started to explain some of the functions the chip can do. There's the "Sense" function, which can scan my surroundings and send that information into my head. And the "Navi" function, which draws a path to a pinpointed destination. It wasn't before long that I instinctively active it and I started to see images in my vision, a sci-fi version of a compass in the upper right corner of my vision As well as another one that looks like a map. A blue holographic line appeared on the ground, and started to lead out through the door to the next room.
Me: Wow, this is like Virtual Reality, but in full dive.
SAI: I know right.
I couldn't help but get a bit excited, despite my worries.
With the help of the line, I started to make my way out of the abandoned Lab, until I came across a door that led to the outside.
The bright sun started to warm my skin and cheeks, but blinded me for a few moments, probably because I was stuck in a Lab for so long.
I let my eyes adjust to the light and the first thing I see were trees and greenery. I was in a forest, I looked back and found out that the lab seems to have been built inside a mountain.
I don't recognize the current area that I'm in.
Me: Alright, SAI. You said that you detected intelligent life signals out here. Do you know where?
SAI: hold up a moment.
SAI then closed his eyes, as if he's meditating. Then he points towards a certain direction.
SAI: the nearest signal is at North East, just a 50 minute walk from here.
I then took a deep breath
Me: I seriously hope that they're human.
I then began to walk into the direction SAI pointed, and with my AI self, and the vast knowledge of the past, I began my adventure into the new world.
