"I'm almost seventeen, I'm not scared of some silly horror movies."

THEY woke up the next morning both with splitting headaches, not only did they have a mix of hangovers and subsiding migraines from the previous night, their limbs ached.

Weirdly, Sarah had been the first one up, trying and trying to wake Lily up from her coma-like sleep. It was often the other way around, not to make Sarah seem like she was always going out, but it's not like she had a great tolerance either.

"Gotta help mom" She mumbled.

She hated the fact that it was already late in the morning, she had wanted to get a head start with helping her mom out on the extra chores. Whatever she needed fixing, Lily could do, or try at least.

The blonde smiled, "I already talked to her, she said we can chill for a few hours as long as we bring her lunch." She turned to look up at Sarah who was leaning against the wall near her bathroom, "Why do I feel like that's not true." Her friend smirked, "Better to ask for forgiveness than permission."

"You sound like Oli"

Oliver was Lily's older brother by three years, was in Oxford and had been majoring in psychology and literature for the past two years. She was less than thrilled to hear that would be staying in Oxford for the summer to "Find himself" or whatever that meant. But she knew he probably didn't want to leave his boyfriend. Not that she wasn't being a supportive little sister, she just missed her brother.

So when he had applied to Oxford without telling anyone, he figured he'd rather beg for forgiveness from their then-overprotective parents, who wanted their kids to stay close to home. It seemed that England was doing him some good, but she hadn't seen him for over six months besides the face times and phone calls. He was even sending her letters and postcards.

Lily also wanted to travel the world, it was one of her biggest dreams. But right now she was perfectly okay being in the sweltering, air conditioning-less, Outer Banks.
