"It all changed for me and I told you"

SARAH had gone to a party at Toppers house the previous night and ended it with a phone call to Lily asking if she could be picked up, and of course her friend agreed.

Not much was said on the drive home, she asked Sarah if she wanted to talk about it, but she had shrugged it off for another day. She could tell Sarah wanted to be home and sleep off whatever drama had gone on.

That was the last time she had heard from or seen Sarah in hours, and Lily was really starting to lose her shit. Her best friend always called back and reassured her that she was okay, that didn't mean that she wasn't okay at the moment, but Lily didn't like taking chances.

Maybe her brother would know.

So, going over to the Cameron household, she knocked and Wheezie came to the door. She was clueless, as per usual. Sarah liked to keep her out of things that could be blown out of proportion. And Lily liked the younger girl, maybe because she wasn't so little anymore. She could tell that Wheezie wanted to be more involved and she understood that, but it wasn't her place.

She waited for Rafe, who Wheezie had went to go get.

Rafe Cameron was someone she didn't particularly like, despite not having known him very well, which might be considered odd given all the years she'd known Sarah. Over all that time, what was kindness turned into rudeness, even toward Sarah herself. But she could tell he was projecting.

Despite all the things she knew, he was always looking for Ward's approval, about everything. He couldn't give a shit about anyone else. But Lily couldn't help but understand. Even feel pity.

"Hey"

Lily turned around once she'd heard footsteps, and there Rafe had that far off look in his eyes that she now began to recognize. Huh, wondered what he had.

She cleared her throat, "Hey, has Sarah been home?" Rafe scoffed, walking past her to the kitchen. "Don't fucking know. Don't care."

She knew he cared, but rolled her eyes, following him into the kitchen. Clearly not in the mood for Rafe's attitude, "Okay, I was just asking."

Picking up a glass of water, "I'm not her keeper." he stated, taking a sip.

Raising her hands, she tried to stand her ground, knowing he would find some way to yell or get pissed off with her, "Alright, I didn't say you were."
