Roan was sparring with Echo as Abby and Bexley are watching off to the side, the fight was going good until Roan suddenly falters in his steps, "Damn it" he said clutching his chest.
Abby looked to Bex who nodded at the woman before Abby took a step forward, "Let me take a look" she said as she checks over his wound, "You're healing, but you need more time" she said softly making the man roll his eyes.
"I don't have time" he stated with a scowl obviously not liking her answer.
"Stubborn Ass" Bex chuckled gaining a small smile and an eye roll from Roan.
Echo smiled slightly at the red heads words but quickly changed her face to a scowl, "Why accept this challenge at all? You're a king, make your own rules" Echo said annoyedly as she folded her arms.
Roan glared back at Echo, "I told you. I won't be that type of king" Echo and Roan start sparring once more, Echo clearly having the upper hand as Roan clutches his chest again allowing Echo to kick Roan down.
"I would be honored to take your place in this fight" She offers as she offered him her hand.
Roan glared at the woman before pushing his hand away, "I will not run from this challenge" Bexley walked over to the king before sticking out her hand to help him up.
His eyes softened as he held onto her hand as she pulled him up, "Echo's right. I didn't save your life so that you could tear yourself apart again"Abby proclaimed with a soft sigh.
"Since when are you two on the same side? And if you can't help me, why the hell are you still here?" Roan yelled at Abby with a harsh glare before Abby turns to leave.
Echo watched the door close behind Abby, "This fight can still be avoided. Protecting Skaikru gives the other clans an excuse to challenge you. Let me take care of the problem. Let me do what you mother would've done" she offered only for Roan to swing his sword back at her enticing her to continue to spar with him.
"Then please just tell me what did Wanheda offer? What deal is worth losing the faith of your people?" Echo asked as Juno walked into the room and wrapping his arms around Bexley who leaned back into him slightly.
"Chance to survive the end of the world. That's what they're offering to all of us. Soon Praimfaya will once again destroy everything. Skaikru is trying to stop it" Roan said heatedly as he swung his sword at her.
Echo glared at the king, "My king, they're lying to you. They'd say anything to save themselves. Let me prove it to you. Send me to Arkadia" Bexley watched the two get more angry with each other as they continue to talk at each other as talking to each other was already out the window.
