I was currently on the elevator back home from work cause I forgot a important hard drive I need

I stepped out the elevator walking down the hallway to my door . I seen kay at my door

I tried to turn around but he already seen me. Shoot I went to my door "what are you doing here ?" I stuck the key in the hole

Feeling him watch me "damn ,I wanted to see yall" I unlocked the door walking in

"I was about to walk away cause I figured nobody was here. How you been?" I got the hard drive off the table

"Im good how are you?" This was so weird he look different his body thickened up "Im straight where kali" he looked around

"School" I put the hard drive in my bag.
"Oh ight when can I see my kid"

"Umm I took off this Thursday so maybe when she gets out of school? We can take her to get her favorite food" He nodded

He seemed to have matured so much. "Thats cool" he left out the door

I sighed going to change my heels to flats my feet where killing me.

Thursday
"You remember when I told you about your real daddy kevin?" I held her hand walking across the street to the burger restaurant.

"Yes" she happily skipped "well your about to meet him" I opened the door letting her in first

I look around seeing kay on his phone at a  booth. I went and slid in the other side.

Kali instantly hid her face in my side . He looked across the table at her mesmerized

"She a little shy" I spoke looking at her "she can talk?" he asked me "yeah"

"What you like to eat here your mama told me you like this place" she stared at him not saying anything.

"Tell him what you like" I tried to give her courage . She gave me a look like she wanted to go

"You not gone talk to me?" He asked her playing with the straw paper. She shook her head no

I knew when she did this she wasn't going to talk at all . "Im sorry she just doesn't really know you" I apologize to him

He shrugged "its cool I don't really know her either" he was still looking at her .

"I heard you was in school you like it?" She was budging for nothing

After twenty minutes of sitting in silence. "I love you can I have a hug?" He asked her

We was getting up to leave. She didn't want to give him a hug. "Hopefully next time she acts different" she held my hand

"Need anything for her?" He dugg in his pockets "no she good ... wanna tell your daddy bye ?" I picked her up on my hip
