"Can you put more of that on these" she pointed to the syrup "yeah" she gone be so sticky when she done

"What you wanna do today?" We usually do something every weekend "I dont know"

Kay came through his front door. Where he went? I dont know I heard him leave in the middle of the night.

Our spend the night situations been going well. Even we at his house more than mine.

"You up early" he said to kali going to mess with her. "I know I went to your room and you was gone" she stuffed her mouth with pancakes

"You can have some of mines" kali offered him "Yo mommy gone give me some of hers" he picked my fork up

"Whats this?" He held up chocolate pancakes "chocolate and the other strawberry"

"You cook all the time ?" I shook my head no "its just your house is so far from everything"

I watched them eat and they eat just alike. She literally got nothing from me

"My sister wanted to get her today I told her she could" kevin said "well ... ok" I sighed

"Im going with kayla?" She got excited "yes finish so I can get you dress"

I finished my food and start washing the dishes . Once I finished I got her ready

"You look so pretty" kay stood behind us while I combed her hair in the mirror.

"Thank you" she smiled "help her put her shoes on the least you can do" I said putting her hair in the second bun

"Im finished" I let her go cleaning off the counter. "What shoes rylie?"

"The ones on the bed" I turned the light off coming out. "Alright big girl" she looked so cute

"Kayla waiting for you in there" she ran off past me. "Bye bug"

I declined jay call once again. "Damn who blowing you up interrupting our time" he took my phone

I quickly snatched it back "mind your business" I turned it off "nope if thats that nigga tell him we busy" we was doing nothing but watching a movie

"Kevin shut up" kali been gone for about two hours and he been getting on my nerves the whole time

"Im leaving" I got up going to kali room to get some shoes. "Where you going?"

"Probably to get my nails done or something" I picked up my purse "Im coming too" I huffed

We got in the car "I miss kali" he said on his phone while driving. "You gone miss being alive if you dont put your phone down"

"Kayla wanna keep her all night if that's cool" I did need a break "thats fine I wanna go back home anyways"

He smacked his lips "you don't gotta go home just cause kali not here"

"I do though" Its no reason for us to even be around each other without kali. "I think you like spending time with me" I teased him

"We need to have a serious talk" kay came in the bathroom while I was getting dressed I just got out the shower

"Remember what I told you?" I slowly shook my head looking at him . He approached me standing over me since he was taller

"Come in here" he grabbed my hand dragging me behind him to his room. "Sit" he pushed me on the bed

He sat next to me looking at me. "I wanna say thank you" I was so confused "You did a good job with raising my kid and putting up with my bullshit"

I was shocked he was saying all of this. "I was mad at you letting my kid call someone else her dad but it doesn't even compare to what I did. I dont know how ima make it up to you but shit ima try . Ima also work on my daddy skills still trying to get that down and pack cause I dont want you to take her from me she all I got"

I got up to be pulled back "where you going"

"To get my phone" He pulled me on top "you dont need that shit right now" we laid there in silence
