"Ever since you came back from with your daddy you been trying me" I squinted my eyes at her

She was sitting in the chair in front of my desk crying. I picked her up from school on my break and in the car she was getting smart with me

"Come here" I knew she was having a bad day cause she got a yellow face at school and that was new to me cause she loves school

She came and I helped her into my lap. "What wrong sweet face" I hugged her kissing her head

"At school kayden and the other kids be mean to me" she sobbed she was really hurt. Her face was red and her hair was all over like I just didn't comb it

"Kali you mean as well" I told her rubbing her back. "I didn't do nothing mommy" I wiped her face

"Tell me what happened" she explained to me how kayden talked about her teeth and her birth mark that was on side of her neck

When her hair was down you couldn't see it. It was in a bun today so you could see it

"Want me to tell her mommy?" I asked "no" her tears wet my shirt. "Kali your teeth and birth mark are pretty just like you"

She sat up looking at me "I stay home tomorrow?"

"I have to work tomorrow I will see if your daddy want to watch you" she hugged me "I love you"

"I love you too kid" I hugged her back "you wanna sit here until im done"

"Yes... where you get these from?" She looked at the big bouquet of flowers. "They came from jay"

"Oh they are pretty"

"They are I was thinking about throwing them away" I wasn't forgiving jay Or getting back with him

"Kevin says we dont like him" I scrunched my face "oh he said that?"

"Yeah" I had to say something to him about that. I looked at the clock striking five fifty five

"Go get your stuff together we about to leave" I helped her down. I logged out getting my stuff together.

We left going to kay mama house she cooked and invited us. " you want to get your daddy something for his birthday ?" I asked kali walking up the steps

"Like a surprise?"

"Yes" I opened the door letting her in first "granny" she yelled . This girl I went to the kitchen to see what she cooked seeing her and kevin sister

"Hey" I spoke kayla still didn't like me. Most of the time I act like she see through

I looked over the stove in the pots. "i know you heard me yelling" kali told kay moms

"Kali..."

"Im sorry I mean to say did you hear me yelling"

"I did why you come in all crazy" kali knew she didn't play games with her. "I was looking for you"

"You hungry get your mom to fix you some of the spaghetti" I found a plate making me some

"I dont want that" kali said making me look at her . I wasn't buying food so she better eat this

I sat down at the table and started eating. "Kayla you take me with you when you leave?"

"I have to go back to school I wish I could take you" she was in college so she wasn't here most of the time

"Why the fuck the door unlocked?" I heard Kevin scaring me "watch your damn mouth boy"

"My bad" he hugged her "nigga why you not at school?" He asked her "spring break nigga"

"Oh hey babygirl" he picked kali up I continue eating my food and minding my business

"Why yo hair look crazy?"he asked her touching it "I had a bad day today" she told him he looked at me

I nodded letting him know she wasn't lying. "What happened rylie"

"Tell him what happened leave out the dramatics" kays mom laughed everyone knew how dramatic she could get

I listened to her explain what happened. "Who is kayden a little boy?" His mom asked

"No its a girl they used to be friends" I said "your real pretty fuck that lil girl" kayla told her as kay cane to sit down next to me

Kali thought it was funny "I think you should slap the shit out of her personally" kevin told kali "dont be telling her to do that"

"Exactly" I added

"This my kid" he said shrugging "need to put her down" I told him "hush rylie want some baby ?"

He feed kali his food "we just tried to give you some" I thumped her leg . Kay smacked my hand "the fuck is wrong with you" he asked

"Dont hit me" I rolled my eyes at him "dont touch her the fuck" I looked at him

Next night
"I gotta ask you something bug" I sat on the closed toilet lid watching her in the bath

"What?"

"Your daddy told me you want us to live together?" She stopped what she was doing "I do most mommies and daddies love together except mines"

"Well me and your daddy aren't like most people but either three days out of the week we live with your daddy or he lives here you like that?" She nodded

"Okay but this week we going to your daddies" I got her towel "time to get out"

She groaned "okay" I got her out getting her dressed "put your house shoes on ima pack my stuff" I had already showered

I packed my stuff getting her bag "come on baby" I grabbed her hand I made sure I didn't forget anything

We made it to kays apartment. He opened the door for us. "She sleep?"

"No she shouldn't be" I was holding her and our stuff "she is sleep" she hasn't even ate anything

I sat our stuff down "kali" I woke her up "you hungry bug?"

"No mommy" she fell back asleep "her room that way" I took her to her room laying her down on the bed

It was really cute . I left out going to sit on kay couch "you still want me to cook?" I asked kay

"Yeah im hungry" I got up going to his kitchen I had insta cart grocery's here cause he has nothing

"What do you want ?pasta?" I asked him "thats cool" he came around the counter

"You got pots?" I looked in the cabinets "yeah they in there" I opened the pantry seeing pots still in the box

I opened them starting to cook . "Shit bet not be nasty" I rolled my eyes "you had my cooking before dont act new"

"Its been a while" he stood over me "back up boy" he was all on me "Ion gotta do shit" he pushed my head

"You the first person to use this kitchen"

"Yo girlfriends dont feed you?" He smacked his lips "ion got no bitch the fuck" he got mad

"Why you have to get so mad" I laughed string the pot "you take yo nigga back?"

"No im not taking him back"

"You look like you will" he laughed "Im not that desperate"

"Good" he smacked my butt "keep your hands to yourself"

"Shut up" I finished cooking making him a plate "is it nasty?" I watched him take a bite?

"Damn can I swallow it ?" He talked with a mouth full "eww" I scrunched my face at him

"Its ight" he continued eating "boy" I dragged laughing.
