Cass' POV

It's been 1 week since it happened. The scene that Edward described as 'awfully heartbreaking, and heartbreakingly awful'.

I've decided to move on. Hindi healthy para sakin ang magmukmok. Yes, I had my share of sleepless nights and depression, but life goes on, right?

And where am I? Nasa tapat ng condo ni Vamp. I am ready to talk to him. To get everything straight, to fix things.

KNOCK KNOCK

Bumukas yung pinto... At lumabas si Vamp. Oh my God, is this really him?

His hair is tousled, his eyes have dark circles around it, and they're swollen.

"C-Cass?" Paos siya? Bigla akong nakaramdam ng guilt. Yes, guilt. Alam ko yung iniisip niyo, 1 week lang, nawala na agad yung feelings? Well, I still have feelings for him, but not as strong as before.

Feelings change, people change.

"I'm here to talk to you, is it okay?" Tanong ko na para bang wala kaming pinagsamahan. Napaka-awkward pala...

"Cass..." And he broke down and cried. Syempre, I rushed to his side and comforted him. Kahit gaano kasakit yung nangyari samin, mas matimbang doon yung mga pinagsamahan namin, we grew up together.

"Vam-" Napatigil ako. Ano itatawag ko sa kanya? "Er... Vamp. I don't think you're ready to talk about this matter... Maybe I'll visit some other time."

"No," Matigas na sagot sakin ni Vamp. "We'll talk about this now. Uhm... Pasok ka." And he led me inside.

Medyo awkward pa, hindi kasi maganda yung nangyari nung huling pagpunta ko dito. Pero it's the reason why I'm here, right? It's now or never.

"Cass..." Mahinang tawag sakin ni Vamp. "I... I want to fix things between us... I really want you back. I love you so much and-"

Hindi ko na siya pinatapos. I've decided to give up on us. Pinili ko 'to, so paninindigan ko. "So do I, Vamp. I want to fix things as well. But not in the way you want it to be... I came here to break up with you. I'm... I'm sorry."

"Cass... Please don't do this..."

"It's the best for all of us. You'll thank me soon, I swear." And with that, I left his condo... Along with the feelings and sweet memories I've had with him.

"Mom, stop shouting! I'm not deaf, and neither are you. I said, I broke up with Vaughn."

[You can't break up with him! You just cannot! You both love each other, right? You're gonna give up just because of one night?]

"Why are you even forcing me to go back to him? Isn't it obvious, Mom? The pain washed away all my feelings! We're back to being Cassie and Vamp, the childhood bestfriends."

[NO. If you don't make up with him, me and your dad are going back there.]

"So be it. You can't force me, Mom. Especially with my feelings."

[Cassandra, I am serious.]

What is wrong with my mother?! Dapat galit siya kay Vamp eh! Bakit ako ang pinababalik niya?! Tsss, mga kaechosan nanaman nila ni Tita Victoria!

From US, pupunta sila dito? Para lang magkabalikan kami ni Vamp? Hah! Nice one, but that ain't enough to fool me.

Tsss. I knew it, Mom and Dad wouldn't do such thing. 2 linggo na ang lumipas, hindi parin ako nakikipagbalikan kay Vamp, at wala parin sila. See?

"CASSIEEEEE!" What the? Bakit nandito si Eleanor sa bahay?!

"Ang ingay mo Eleanor! Bakit ba nambubulabog ka ng bahay, ha? Kagabi lang sabi mo may date kayo ni Nathan, eh bakit nandito ka?"

"Eh yun nga eeeeh! I ditched my date and went here to congratulate you! Nagkabalikan na pala kayo ni Vaughn, tapos di mo sinabi sakin? May ganito pa!" At winagayway nya sa tapat ng mukha ko yung envelope.

"Nagkabalikan?" Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. Anong trip nito?

"STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHIIIING! Oo, galit ako kay Vaughn pero kasiii... Bagay naman talaga kayo."

"Wait... Naguguluhan ako! Just get to the point, will you?"

"BAKIT DI MO SINABING MAY ENGAGEMENT PARTY NA MAGAGANAP 2 DAYS FROM NOW?! BIGLA MO NALANG AKO PADADALHAN NG INVITATION?!"

"Engagement? Nino?"

"Ikaw at si Vaughn, ano ba!"

"WHAT?!"

"Ma'am! Nagbalik na po pala kayo!" Sigaw ni Manang mula sa labas. Sinong Ma'am? o.O

"Indeed I am back, I promised my dearest daughter I'd be here... And with a surprise too. Is she in her room?" UMUWI TALAGA SIYA?!

"Yes po. Ano po yung surprise niyo, Ma'am?" Tsss. Sige, lakasan niyo pa. Hindi kasi masasayang yung surprise kung narinig ko eh, noh? *insert sarcasm here*

"She's getting married... To Vaughn."
