The Winter Breathing is a breathing style only known and taught by Fuyuki later (L/N) family. It's one of the first breathing styles to create.
The Winter Breathing combat and breathing style mimics all the elements in winter weather like ice, frost, and snow, specifically their smooth yet sharp structure, and replicates it with the user's movements, speed, agility, techniques, and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques involve the user bending their body, limbs, and weapon in both a sharp and soft.
Users of Winter Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating ice when unleashing its techniques.
This breathing style was created by Rinku Fuyuki, the first user of this breathing, created at the same time as the Sun Breathing. The Water Breathing is directly derived from this breathing.
This breathing style hinders demons' regenerating abilities. As it can freeze demons' blood cells and wounds, and nullify their healing abilities until the ice melts or demons scrape them away. The colder the user's body is, the thicker the ice is. Its capabilities are known to be the reverse of the Breath of the sun.
This breathing has a few people to learn and use because the user needs to reduce their body heat as low as possible which can lead to freeze to death. Only a few talented or patient people can pass the training and be known in the Demon Slayer Corps for using an ancient breathing style.

The swordsman concentrates the sword with ice, swings it, and releases the energy as a flying slash.
With a swift swing of the blade either horizontally or vertically, the swordsman can generate a powerful concentrated slash with ice, swing it, and release the energy as a flying slash.
The slash would cut through its path, freezing the area around it, before fading into the snow. The range of the attack depends on how hard the user swings the blade is.

This form can be used in 2 types of ways. A consecutive blade thrust, stabbing and piercing through victims at high speed, or a single sword thrust that allows the user to leap forward at high speed, and cut through the opponent.

The user builds up their momentum and becomes capable of swinging the blade consecutively, as a blizzard would follow along the blade, cutting through targets and freezing them afterward.
