~Lyra's POV~

"Holy shit" I look out the window and see the kingdom's soldiers fall one by one.

"Holy shit is right" Puffy mumbles.

I sit by the window and listen for the specific signal Jasper said to listen for.

"What do we do after this" I ask her.

"Go on with our normal lives I guess" she shrugs.

"Doesn't he have brothers?" I gesture towards the king's limp body.

"Two younger brothers. Pretty sure one's dead though." she says.

"Hm" I hum.

I shouldn't be showing sympathy. I've killed many people, kidnapped a few, even tortured some. Yet this was different. He was an older brother.

"Hey" Puffy nudges me.

"What's up?" I snap out of my trance of thoughts and turn to her.

"People stopped fighting" she looks outside the window.

Silence. For the first time in hours. Silence. It was nice, calming even. Despite the dead bodies scattered across the street, the limp body only five feet away, and the situation I'm in, it was calming.

I hear a trumpet playing a specific tune and smile.

The signal.

I grab a flag and wave it out the window to show what room we were in. Within a few minutes, Jasper and some of the crew were at the bottom.

"Where is he?" Jasper yells.

"I here, knocked out. Here's the crown" I yell and throw the crown down to him.

"Amazing job as always Lyra" he smiles at the crown.

"It's low enough for us to lower him down" Puffy yells.

"Perfect. Just do that" Jasper dismisses us and admires the crown in his hands.

Puffy and I untie the man and lower him down for the crew to catch him before climbing down ourselves.

"Another job well done" I nudge Puffy.

"Good job us" she smiles.

We all run towards the ship and get on as fast as we can.

"Put him in the cell Lyra" Jasper says, still looking at the crown.

"Yes sir" I grab the man and drag him down the stairs to the cell.

"You're in charge of him" I hear him yell as I open the door to the dark room.

I shove him into the cell and lock the door. I sit across from him and wait for him to wake up.

~Techno's POV~

I slowly open my eyes and look around. I'm in a dark room. The smell of the sea surrounds me and I hear the waves crashing.

"Look who's up" I hear a voice say.
