Furious couldn't even begin to describe how Xiao was feeling right now. He knew it would happen, but he didn't think his anger could raise past this boiling point anymore than it had...Xiao was watching over Y/N and Momo in town as he normally did (Not that he'll EVER admit that to anyone....) And some man had the guts- no the BALLS to try and hit on Y/N and try to cute himself into the baby's heart!! Xiao wanted to beat the man senseless but he still had a contract to protect the city and it's people...that sadly meant that man as well whether he liked it or not. Y/N though didn't look to be impressed with the man and took a few steps back.
"I'm not interested. Get lost, I'm already married."
She would retort over and over to the man who just didn't seem to get the hint or CARE. Xiao was about to lose his temper and blow up until he heard a faint whisper of his name from Y/N's lips, it's clear she said it under her breath and wanted his aid... Xiao frowned before he jumped over somewhere hidden and came out of hiding to wave Y/N down...Momo squealed almost instantly at the sight of Xiao and started to make grabby hands at him.
"Y/N! Are you--"
"Xiao!"
She called as she shouldered past the man and suddenly hugged into him with Momo, Momo giggled with glee and nuzzled into Xiao while Y/N leaned up and...kissed him on the cheek? Xiao's face burst to a bright red from the surprise as Y/N began to ramble to him, calling him her husband and such while gently tugging him along to go to the restaurant, leaving the previously flirting man stunned and even horrified at what just happened before his eyes.
"Xiao?.. oh god I broke him...Xiaooooo!"
Y/N called to him one they were at the Restaurant, but Xiao didn't seem to be listening and was still stuck in his original shock and Daze from Y/N kissing his cheek and calling him all the pet names. Zhongli on the other hand who had waited for them was chuckling heavily and shaking his head.
"My word, you bring my guardian to me dazed and stunned, what did you do to him dear daughter?"
He asked with a playful grin on his face, clearly knowing what happened, but just wanted to force it out of Y/N; This made Y/N sputter with wide eyes and a clearly blooming blush on her face as she huffed with puffed up cheeks.
"Oh you know what happened you old man!!" She barked, making Zhongli bellow out a laugh before he began to sip at his drink.
"I don't see the issue dear child, you two are basically a match in everything and Momo here loves him to pieces." Zhongli said while glancing at momo, who was indeed gently playing with Xiao's hair, looking content and comfortable in the stunned mans arms.
Y/N looked over as well and hummed a small bit as she watched the slow response from Xiao, how he would slowly hold Momo closer to his chest, right where his heart is for Momo to listen should she get sleepy, and how he would position his arm just enough to where Momo's head was supported right in the gap of his elbow so that Momo was comfortable. Y/N never really had to show him these things either, he just sort of...did them on his own without any sort of guidance..almost like it was on instinct...Zhongli had also noticed these movement and though he did not show it on his face, his eyes glimmered with that proud twinkle, Clearly proud of Xiao and his unknown Paternal instincts to hold and protect Momo.
" Y/N..." Xiao suddenly said, making y/n look over and slowly blink at his serious expression.
"Yes Xiao?"
" .........I want to take on the Father Role for Momo...."
"...................I'm sorry what???"
