Y/n stayed with Aether for a few more days at the Wangshu Inn before they finally got a carriage to travel in. Aether was determined to make y/n use it since she was even more swollen than before. Once the carriage was supplied with everything they needed, Aether took the reins and mushed the horses off with y/n sitting next to him, waving goodbye to the patrons of the inn with a grin on her face. She was sad to leave them since they were so kind to her and her unborn child, but she knew they needed to get to Rex Lapis as soon as possible if she wanted any chances to avoid the fatui taking her child from her.
As they traveled down the road, y/n watched the trees sway in the breeze with a look of peace in her eyes. She never got to experience this when she was with the Fatui...still, her peace couldn't last long as she remembered the hilichurls that protected her... she missed them terribly and wished they didn't die trying to protect her... She let out a tired sigh and rubbed her face, making Aether look over at her with worry...
" Sis, are you alright? Is the baby kicking again?" Aether asked while y/n looked up at him with a smile. During the few days she spent with aether, he began calling her sis, which was fine on her part; she never had siblings before so having a brother like him made her feel like she was actually part of the world in some way, made her feel like she was actually needed and wanted in this world again. With a quick nod of her head, she rubbed her stomach with a smile.
"Yes, she's quite the kicker as of late, I think she's getting excited about being born in a few more months." y/n said with a light laugh. Aether smiled and chuckled a little as he focused on the road again with a sigh.
"Well she's gotta wait till we at least get to the city, that way she can meet the Geo God, I'm sure he'd love to meet someone who's about to be born in his city," Aether said while thinking about it. He began to think more before an idea struck him as he looked back at y/n again.
" Hey sis, have you ever been to Mondstadt? The city of freedom?" He suddenly asked making y/n look at him confused before shaking her head.
" No I have not, why do you ask aether?"
" Well, maybe I can introduce you to another aspect there, barbatos... I got to meet him."
"Really??" y/n asked with wide eyes as she leaned over to Aether making him lean back with a light laugh. He had never seen y/n so excited before, and to see her eyes gleaming he grinned even further and nodded his head.
" Yeah, but first we'll stop at Liyue and resupply, see if Lapis Rex will give us His blessings and help us, then go and meet Barbatos. sound like a plan?" Aether asked before he began laughing to see y/n nod her head vigorously with a grin.
" Oh, I'm so excited brother!! So excited! I've never been to this Mondstadt before! Is there anything good there??" y/n asked as she began to bombard him with questions for the rest of the trip.
After a few more days they finally made it to Liyue; y/n looked ready to scream in pain due to how long they had been traveling. Aether looked like he was about to run at a moment's notice due to y/n's mood swings that he had to endure, but he still ran over to her side and helped her out, in which she hugged him in thanks and in having him help her stay standing.
"I'm sorry for yelling again...Aspects I'm so sorry for yelling.." y/n muttered making Aether smile and hug her as he helped her walk.
" Sis it's alright, you're pregnant. Mood swings are bound to happen. Let's just get you to the restaurant and get you sitting down and fed alright?"
" alright.." y/n muttered anxiously as she followed with him down the streets. With how much pain you were in, you might give birth early... let us hope that's not the case here...
