Part 2

Two months had gone by since his first appointment with the beautiful and very wise Dr. Evans.
Jack had been seeing her twice a week and felt like a heavy weight had been lifted from his shoulders. She had helped him make sense of a lot of questions and insecurities. He felt incredibly comfortable with her, never having had someone to confide in, in such a way. Not that he couldn't talk to his parents, but some of his worries and thoughts, he didn't feel comfortable sharing with them. Mainly because they were part of this.
They had talked about his life, growing up with his mom, dad and big brother. From the outside they portrayed the perfect family, but Jack felt like something was missing from that picture.
Behind closed doors his parents would argue a lot. Some of the things he overheard didn't make sense to him. It was no secret that his brother, who was 4 years older than him, wasn't his mother's biological son. Jack often overheard them arguing about something from the past but he couldn't put the pieces together and figure out what it was about. He didn't know much about his dad's life before he was born. When he asked about it, his dad would tell him that it wasn't worth talking about. He would become quiet and withdrawn, his eyes would reveal sadness and pain. Sometimes Jack felt like his dad was hiding something.

Marlena felt for the young man, thinking about her own children who grew up in a similar situation. As much as it pained her to acknowledge it, his story resonated with her.
She realized that staying married to Roman, had not only been hurting her but her children as well.

The last time Jack went to see Marlena he had just received a strange message. A few years ago he had signed up on a website called My Inheritance. He had sent in his DNA to this large database so that he could learn more about his ancestors and heritage. It never crossed his mind that one day he could be contacted by someone related to him. But that was exactly what happened.

"So Jack, the last time you were here you told me that someone contacted you about a match on that heritage website. Did you reply?" Marlena asked curiously.

"No, I didn't. I don't know what to think about this. I have been trying to figure out who this person might be, but as far as I know, my parents don't have any long lost family members." Jack replied while trying to figure out what the connection to this person could be.

"Hmm you mentioned before that you don't know much about your dad's past, where he was born, about his parents, if he has any siblings. Do you think that maybe this person is somehow related to your father?"

"Of course I have thought about that. But I don't know....I really don't think that if I had any family on his side that he would hide it from me and my brother. I know there are things he doesn't want to talk about, but I'm pretty sure he would never prevent us from knowing anyone related to us."

"Okay, that makes sense. Have you thought about telling your parents?"

Jack took a deep breath as he answered " Yeah, I will tell them, but right now is not the right time. My brother is getting married in two weeks and they have a lot going on. I don't want this thing to interfere with this wedding and all. I have a feeling that whoever this person is, it's going to stir trouble for all of us. I don't want anything to ruin my brother's wedding. Actually he is getting married here in Salem. His biological mother was from here and he wanted to have the wedding here, so that she could somehow be there on his big day."

Marlena was tempted to ask him about the name of his brother's biological mother, but that wouldn't be professional of her, it would only be to satisfy her own curiosity.

                                     ———

Across the country a man stared out the window as the sun was setting. Soon he would have to go back....back to his past, back to the place he used to call home. The possibility of running into her was very real. Just the thought made him nervous and his heart beat faster. When his son told him that his wedding was going to be in Salem, his first reaction was "No way in hell!!"
He came here to escape, to make a new life for himself and that is just what he did.
He wasn't sure he was ready to confront his previous life, even after 25 years, the pain that place brought him was still there.
No, not only pain...those 7 years in Salem were some of his best. Especially the first year when he met her... married her...made love to her.
Memories of her were present every day. Her beautiful smile that would light up a room, her infectious laughter, her hazel eyes that would shine when she looked at him. And her body...oh God, her body. Never before or after had any woman made him as crazy as she did. She was sensual, a seductress, so sexy as hell. With just one look, one touch or one word, she could make him mad with desire. So much so that he couldn't control himself and had to have her right then and there.
He closed his eyes as he remembered what it felt like to make love to her. Her little moans as he would tease her nipples with his tongue, how she would arch her back to push her breast deeper into his mouth. How her pelvis would gyrate against his hard cock. His name leaving her mouth. He remembered getting lost in her kisses, their tongues battling and dancing along each other. The sweet taste of her lips and her pussy. The way it felt when his cock would finally slide inside her wet and thigh canal. Squeezing him, milking him from every single drop he had to give her. The feeling of her nails as she dug them into his naked back, leaving marks...her marks.
The feeling of being buried so deep inside her body and her soul, them clinging on to each other for dear life as they would reach climax together.
As usual his cock grew hard from these visual memories. But it was not only her physical appearance that made her so attractive to him, it was also her personality and her brain. She was clever, caring, intelligent, funny...she was just everything. Every other woman would pale in  comparison to her. Even his wife....

He did love his wife. They met 23 years ago and soon after she got pregnant with their son. He wouldn't say it was an unhappy marriage, they had their ups and downs. Their main problem was his inability to fully open up his heart to her. And she knew the reason...or at least some of it. She knew that he left Salem under some unfortunate circumstances and she knew that a woman was involved. A woman that he had cared deeply about. She assumed that it was the mother of his first son, and he would let her think that. He needed to keep the memories of his previous life to himself, they were too precious to share with someone who wouldn't understand. So he kept quiet... but was it possible for him to keep her from knowing the truth once they got to Salem for the wedding?

The sound of his wife returning home brought him back to what was now his reality..his family...his life.
"John, I'm home!!"
