The Doctor cursed under his breath; he really should have expected Angel to completely ignore him but still, they had to stick together! His thoughts turned back to Rose, and he winced as another scream, closer, echoed from a room a few doors away. He ran towards the door and jabbed the sonic at the door lock. The Doctor kicked the door open and moved straight for the hooded figure without stopping. He held the sonic to his temple before the hood had time to react, sending sonic waves directly into his brain and killing him. The Doctor let him drop, and kicked the whip away for good measure. Then his eyes descended on Rose, lying bloody and crumpled on the floor. She had a blindfold tied around her eyes, and the hooded creature hadn't even bothered to remove her shirt before attacking her. His hearts pounded with fury as the Doctor realised this hadn't been an interrogation; it had been torture. Pain for amusement. It hung loosely almost in tatters around her bloody torso; she didn't even move when he knelt next to her.

"Rose, can you hear me?" he asked urgently as he removed the blindfold. Her eyes were open and they focused on him, but she didn't speak, her cracked lips only just parting slightly. Tears slowly trickled sideways down her cheeks. Rose had passed the point of being able to react to the pain, instead just waiting for unconsciousness to claim her, which now it did.

Angel may of been injured but she was not about to let this bastard kill her. The sword battle started, and it went on and on and on. Sparks flying from the force of the blades striking each other. Angel was tiring, the male seeing that. He smirked.

"Oh Angel Angel Angel, you've got so much fire in you, exactly like your mother did." Angel snarled, that spurring her on, she able to feel the male's blade start to crack.

Her wings came out, slashing the male across the chest, just as he slashed her chest, deeply. She cried out but didn't waver, she disarmed the male with a slice to the wrist, almost severing it. He dropped the sword and she caught it, placing both blades against his throat, crossing them her eyes flashing as he knelt. "Mercy…..please…I beg of you…..mercy." She snarled.

"Why should I! You attacked me and my friends, you nearly killed them! Why should I show you mercy for what you have done!?"

He laughed evilly, his voice full of hate and malice.

"Such fire in your eyes and such anger in your voice. Your parents death must have effected you so much."

"How do you know about that!? HOW!?" she snarled. He laughed evilly.

"How? Because I CAUSED THE ACCIDENT! I CAUSED THE TRAIN TO DE-RAIL!" Angel felt tears prick her eyes.

"Why?" she asked, "Why? What did we ever do to you!? I WAS ONLY THIRTEEN!" she screamed.

The male laughed evily.

"And that matters to me how? I am a collector of rare and exotic things, your parents knew I would be coming after them sooner or later, you and your parents were the last of your kind, I had to ha….." Angel had heard enough, she snapped, slicing the head from the mans shoulders, getting sprayed with his blood. His head rolled away, the body dropping like a stone.

Rose's eyes had drifted closed, and so the Doctor had no qualms about lifting her into his arms. His fingers quickly became slick and sticky with Rose's blood as he moved swiftly back down the hall, looking for Angel. He spotted her as she staggered out of a doorway with a tear stained face and covered with blood.

"Angel!" he exclaimed, going to her, examining her closely for the source of all that blood. "Are you alright? What happened?" He wished he could take her hand, offer some support, but his arms were full with keeping Rose aloft.

Rose. Angel. He had to get them both back to the TARDIS. He hitched the still-unconscious Rose up, getting a better grip. "You know what, tell me back at the TARDIS. Come on, we're getting out of here."
