The next morning was a very collected and casual form of panic. They were supposed to be meeting Aunt Cissa and Uncle Luc at Malfoy Manor directly before breakfast for their lesson. Gwyn woke up in her rooms and took a moment to still her breathing and remember that the presence beside her was in fact her very best of friends and not some random intruder just in time to stop the binding jinx that was on tip of her tongue. She did, however, have just enough time to clamp her hand over her mouth to stifle the sound of her giggles as the sight of his bed head once again brought back memories of the morning before when she had woken him up. She canceled the charms around her animal companions and smiled brightly at them as they began to stir and she gathered her clothes.
'Will one of you wake him up while I shower please?' She spoke over her shoulder as she gathered the outfit she had planned. 'He'll hold a grudge for a month if I don't give him enough time to get ready.'
'Of course, little hatchling, you get ready. We will handle the rest.' Nagini sounded just a tad too excited at the prospect and Gwyn loved it.
'He will be awake and out of the rooms before your shower is done. You have our word.' As always, Nero took any task she gave him with utmost seriousness.
'Thank you both.' She turned and gave them one last smile before slipping into the bathroom.
She cast a quick tempus once inside and noted that she had a full hour to shower, get dressed and gather the boys before they had to leave. What a beauty magic was and the ability to travel anywhere you liked in the blink of an eye. While she normally opted to keep her showers hot she went for a cold one this morning to aid in waking herself up. It wouldn't do to arrive for their first lesson still halfway bleary eyed. She rushed through her shower, pausing slightly halfway through when she heard a shriek and then a thump from her bedroom.
Just as her hand was reaching for the wand on the shelf inside of the shower she heard the hissing giggles of Nagini. It sounded like a small and one sided argument took place before Draco called out that she could have woken him up before showering as he left. She giggled and then decided that he had his form of revenge as she blinked the shampoo out of her eye. She quickly finished washing and then all but leapt out of the shower, quickly wrapping a towel around herself, so that she could stay ahead on time.
She ran her brush through her hair with one hand while drying sections with an underpowered drying charm with the other. It took a moment to resist the urge to speed up the process but she absolutely detested the way that made her hair feel sticky and frizzy. She took the two sections by her temples and braided them back before connecting them into one longer braid along the back of her head and tying it off with a small, purple ribbon, choosing to let her hair stay down for once. She put all of her jewels back into place, her heiress rings, the portkey cuff from Lucius, Tom's bracelet and then lastly the diadem from Death. It wouldn't do to lose control of any spell she might cast. Her outfit for the day consisted of her blackest tights, a nice deep purple, tea length dress with emerald swirls along the skirt and her black ankle boots. She wanted to make a good first impression on all those she would be meeting for the first time without overdoing it and hoped she had just the right outfit to do so.
She stopped by her desk to pick up a small bag that she had packed with a deep green, bound, leather notebook, a few self inking quills, some snacks that Maeve had made for all of them, as well as a few treats for Nero. She paused briefly and then decided to strap on the thigh holsters for her daggers and slid them into place. She had been given a few pointers and lessons on how to use them from her grandparents. She wasn't worried about facing any danger but didn't see the harm in coming too prepared for a defense lesson. Once she was certain that she had everything in place she turned back towards her animal companions and let out a breath, casting another quick tempus and was pleased to note that she had only taken thirty minutes to get ready.
