Gwyn was starting to find a comfortable routine during her days at the castle. She would start her days with a shower, repeat the affirmation Death had given her into the mirror, following that up with breakfast. Immediately after breakfast she would read her paper and any letters she had received. Then head up to her room to write any replies needed and select a book from there or the library and spend the rest of the morning tending to the gardens and the greenhouses and then spend some time reading outside. Her afternoons were spent with her grandparent's portraits, going over what she had learned and noting down any advice they had in the margins of the books. Evenings after dinner were spent reading from a journal from Death's vault and then relaxing in a bath before bed.
The second journal had come from one of her ancestor's by the name of William. She wasn't sure which branch of the Peverell line he had hailed from but he had made some interesting discoveries about the addition of death magic being added to charms, causing jinxes or hexes to have longer lasting effects. She wasn't exactly sure how much longer it made the effect but she was curious to find out, however she knew it would need much more control than she had at the time. Perhaps she could get Draco to be a test subject for his most dear and very best of friends. The thought alone caused her to have a sinister smirk.
Speaking of Draco, she was going to be late to the luncheon. She had forgotten to set an alarm and was now running about fifteen minutes late and was rushing through getting dressed. Once she was all set, having chosen a midnight black, silk tea dress, deep emerald green tights and black ankle boots she busied herself finding a ribbon to match her tights. They had planned for her to arrive about five minutes early so he wouldn't have to be alone with the girl called Pansy at all. As it was she was just finishing tying the ribbon in her hair with a charm that Narcissa had taught her and called for Maeve, she would be about ten minutes late. Nero quickly made his way up onto her arm, refusing for her to leave the castle without him. Her heiress rings, Tom's bracelet and the circlet from Death all never left their places on her person.
Nevertheless she quickly willed her rings out of sight as she took Maeve's hand. The circlet wouldn't be visible to anyone there and she didn't mind showing off Tom's bracelet. Her wand remained hidden away in an arm holster that Maeve had given her. One deep, calming breath later and she was in the Malfoy's entrance hall. Maeve handed her over to one of their elves, reminding her to call when she was ready to come home.
The little elf introduced themselves as Nox and almost had a fit when Gwyn had given them a little curtsey, their dark eyes widening as they lead her to another sitting room than the one she had been in before. Nox quickly cleared his throat as all eyes in the room turned to land on her. She quickly covered up her nerves by giving Narcissa a wide smile.
"Presenting Mistress Gwynyvere," Nox stated confidently, having been instructed by Maeve not to mention her last name.
She turned slightly, thanking the elf with a smile before he left with a pop and then turning back to face Narcissa, giving her another curtsey. "Gwyn darling! I didn't know you were coming! What a lovely surprise, Draco dear did you know about this?" The smile she received was absolutely genuine as well as radiant.
"Apologies for not informing you Aunt Cissa, we wanted it to be a surprise. I hope you don't mind." She made her way into the room as she spotted Draco, looking positively relieved upon her arrival and she guessed the girl next to him looking annoyed was Pansy.
"Not at all darling, come come!" Narcissa held out her arms and quickly enveloped her into a hug before holding her at arms length and kissing both of her cheeks. "Let me introduce you to everyone." She took Gwyn by the arm and lead her around. She had been introduced to a Lady Parkinson who had an uncanny resemblance to her daughter, a Lady Zabini who she assumed was mother to the boy on Draco's left, a Lady Crabbe and a Lady Goyle. She had given each of them a polite curtsey and dip of the head. When she was introduced simply as Heiress Gwynyvere only the Lady Parkinson has seemed put out, the Lady Zabini had given her a conspiratorial smile before engaging the other in a conversation about the latest fashions of Italy.
