You were sitting on the couch, exhausted from having changed his sheets. His bed was huge and the amount of pillows on it alone was enough to be a pain. You mentioned him being a "pillow princess" to Raditz once as a joke, not realizing the true meaning of that metaphor. When he had laughed at you and then told the prince, Vegeta had been less than happy.
You realized he must have rolled around on it before he took his bath out of spite because it smelled like sweat and the sheets were damp. You swore to beat his ass during training after the ceremony was over. After what felt like forever of trying to put on the fitted sheet, you sat down on the couch and tried to relax for a bit. A bit later, a servant brought in two cloches and instructed they were for the prince. You thanked the servant for his time, set them down on the coffee table, and walked him to the door. You sat back down on the couch after and picked up the tv remote, hitting the red button to turn it on.
The news had nothing exciting to offer other than talks of the prince's mating ceremony. Tomorrow, before the girls battle, there would be a parade through the main city. All the fun 'we are better than you, respect us,' formalities that came with being saiyan elites. The parade was news to you, but what a joke. Just had to rub their status in everyone else's faces. You, however, would be incredibly excited to step outside the palace walls during the day time, even if it was for something so ridiculous.
Vegeta was never allowed outside the palace, unless of course for an hour to foresee the construction of something or when he was going off world. Since he couldn't leave, neither could you. After becoming his guard, the only times you were allowed out were on errands to pick up his new armor or latest scouter upgrade. Then of course, off the records, there were nights where you and Cucumbe snuck out and got absolutely toasted at the local bars and did karaoke. That was very rare though, as the chances of getting caught were huge if you were not found at your station in the morning.
You sat and watched cartoons for a bit before the door began to open and you quickly turned the tv off. You hopped to your feet, bowing as the prince stepped inside.
"Welcome back sire, how was-"
"Horrible. Here's your damn key," he grunted as he tossed it to you. You caught it in your right hand, noting that it was warm from being against his chest all night; you quickly tucked it inside your armor. He glanced over at his bed and smirked, "you did change my sheets."
"Of course I did," you snapped, crossing your arms and huffing. "You didn't have to be an ass and roll all over them."
He raised an eyebrow, "the hell are you talking about?"
"They smelled like sweat! I was gonna change them anyway, you could have just taken your bath." The prince felt his face flush. Thank the gods you weren't always the sharpest tool in the shed, and thank the gods you thought his ego would make him be petty like that.
"Well it got the job done, didn't it?" The prince chuckled. His mind was feeling a bit fuzzy as the booze truly began to set in. Perhaps his father was right and he had overdone it a bit more than he initially thought. He pointed to the cloches on the coffee table, "have you not opened those yet?"
"No, I was told they were for you." You said, glancing over at them. You had to admit you were dying to know what was underneath them, but didn't want to steal a peak and risk ruining whatever was under them.
Vegeta grumbled under his breath and pinched the bridge of his nose. "No, they're for you. I had them sent from the banquet. Open them."
You didn't have to be told twice. You quickly lifted up the lids and gasped at the array of strawberry themed desserts. "No way."
