It had taken you days to reach King Kai's, or what you assumed had been days. Time passed strangely in the plane of the dead and you had no idea how long it had actually taken. You were beginning to think the place didn't actually exist, and that the demon man had actually sent you to your own hell, doomed to spend the rest of your life running along a never ending, stoney, scaled path. You were about to give up, contemplating jumping off the damn thing and falling below, through the clouds that lay underneath you that carried on far past your field of vision for miles and miles. That's when you saw the end of the tail and the small little planet that lay there, floating in the middle of the abyss.
You practically cheered when you saw it, once again shooting off as fast as you could to get there. Once you landed, you realized the gravity had changed, but not enough to bother you. You'd felt worse on other planets and the pressure was honestly kind of relaxing.
"Hmmm, and who might you be?" Said a voice from behind you. You turned around, finding a beetle of a man standing with his hands behind his back. His skin was blue, and his antennae twitched as he regarded you.
"Oh, uh, hello King Kai, sir." You said, kneeling. He was a king right? It was in his name.
He snorted a bit at your kneeling before waving his hand at you. "You don't have to do that."
Your tail twitched a bit in embarrassment, rising once again to your full height. You were taller than him, which was a strange feeling. You weren't necessarily short, but it was rare you were ever taller than someone, let alone by this much. "I'm Y/N."
"How did you end up here?" He asked.
"Oh. I took Snake's Way," you said, pointing at the end of the serpent's tail."
He snorted again, holding his hand to his mouth to stop from bursting out into laughter. "No, who sent you?"
"A large red man did."
King Kai mumbled something about "king Yemma" before adjusting his glasses and looking at you. "So I suppose you want me to train you?"
"I- I'm sorry?" You asked, standing there awkwardly.
"I'll have you know I don't train just anyone! You have to prove yourself and make me-"
"I was just wondering if you could help me communicate with someone in the living world, sir."
King Kai fell onto his back, absolutely dumbfounded before hopping back up. "That's mildly insulting you know! Barging onto my planet just to use me like a telephone!"
You quickly waved your hands in front of you, "no no, I mean I'd love for you to train me! I was just wondering if you'd be able to communicate with someone first!"
The Kai regarded you carefully, rubbing his chin. "I'll think about it. Why do you want me to train you? I see you're a saiyan; what would you use it for?"
"To protect my friends and family, sir." You said. "I wasn't strong enough to stop Frieza from-"
"F-F-FRIEZA!" He yelled, stumbling backwards again. "YOU FOUGHT FRIEZA?"
"Well, no," you laughed awkwardly, motioning to the hole in your suit and then the halo above your head. "He's the reason I'm dead actually."
"He's already begun his attack?" The Kai replied, turning so his back faced you. "That doesn't bode well for your people."
Your tail lashed about anxiously, "what do you mean? What attack? He killed me at Vegeta's mating ceremony."
The Kai glanced over his shoulder at you, "so it was an isolated attack? He didn't blow up your planet?"
