What did it mean?

I left my room as soon as I saw it was almost seven, I went to the room where we usually all gathered together, obviously they were all already sitting around the table talking to each other.

Strangely, no one had noticed me yet, but it was for the best, it would just annoy me.

«Gladeon» Said the captain attracting my attention «You should get dressed»

«But I'm dressed»

«I don't mean in pajamas. We have to leave soon and you are still in this condition»

I looked at myself noting that he was right.

«He must have just woken up, give him time» Gaz intervened trying not to laugh.

«Yeah..» I said embarrassed as I backed away quickly to leave the room.

Finally we arrived at the appointed point after a full day, as the captain had said we would act in the night, but I didn't think that was the reason, but I couldn't complain.

«Are you ready?» Asked the captain looking at us all.

«No.» I answered him.

«Okay, let's go» he said starting to walk.

I sighed following him, immediately felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned to see it was Soap, he had an encouraging smile on his face.

I smiled back at him trying to make the anxiety go away, I hated working so close, but I began to understand that it should have become another habit.

«Put yourself in the established positions, we have to be fast and precise»

«Captain, there is no need to repeat it»

He turned his head slightly to look at me and then looked straight ahead again.

«I am aware of this Gladeon, but I want to avoid making mistakes»

«Mistakes that can be fixed, right?»

«No.»

I felt shivers run down my spine, his answer didn't reassure me at all.

I stood in position away from the building checking the situation from the outside, these weren't initially the plans, but they had discovered us for some strange reason.

Price had decided to leave me off to snipe so I could defend them and warn them in case more enemies arrived. Obviously I wasn't the only sniper, security was never too much in these extreme cases.

I put out the cigarette I had between my fingers and putting on my night vision goggles, the situation seemed to be too calm.

I looked at Gaz who was checking the area carefully.

«I doubt that reinforcements will arrive» I said looking in the direction of the building.

«I believe so too, but if the captain has decided to create chaos in that structure, I really believe that they will arrive»

«Is him always so…unpredictable?»

«Yes, he always has been»

«Gaz, Gladeon» Said the captain's voice from the transceiver, we both looked at each other «Get ready to cover fire»
