Dawnkit's Journey

Chapter Twenty-One

-[in StarClan ]-

A black she-cat sat, staring at a small pool of water. Her fur was spiked with fear as she watched the battle that had happened. A brown Tom with leaf green eyes padded up to her, worry flowing from him in waves.

"Deathstar, this isn't our territory." The Tom meowed. The she-cat - Deathstar - looked up at him.

"No, but our StarClan saw the prophecy, theirs did not. We must warn them, Fallenleaf." Deathstar cried. Fallenleaf shook his head and glanced at her.

"This isn't our job. If what is supposed to happen happens, it will be best for the clans." Fallenleaf mused. Deathstar sprung up, furious.

"A clan leaving is not good! Remember ancient SkyClan? They were drove out, and they died off. Now they're scraps of cats living many territories away and weak." Deathstar snarled. Fallenleaf seemed unfazed.

"We need to go." Fallenleaf repeated. Without hesitation, he swiped at Deathstar, and she turned into mist, going back to her own StarClan. Fallenleaf sighed. "Dawnflight, we will be back to help you."

"Oh Bluewhisker..." Dawnflight cried. He didn't move. Her blood soaked into his fur as she kept laying on him. The rumble of paws told her someone was coming. She didn't bother looking up, death would please her now.

"Dawnflight?" A worried voice asked. Dawnflight recognized the voice of Icefur. Glancing up, she saw his brown eyes full of worry. She choked as she tried to speak. Icefur rushed across the river, ignoring the water that soaked his pelt as he grasped Dawnflight's scruff in his jaws. She cried as he pulled her back to their territory.

"Icefur? What happened to Dawnf-" Sagenose was cut off as he saw Dawnflight's blood dripping into the dust. "Bring her inside and get Mintstar."

Sagenose laid Dawnflight gently onto a mossy nest that smelled of herbs. Dawnflight kept her eyes closed, as a way to avoid tears falling. Her heart ached for Bluewhisker...they had planned to run away. She forced herself to think about her memories...her happy moments. Her most vivid memory was a moon ago.

"Bluewhisker! You mousebrain!" Dawnflight howled as Bluewhisker stood on the other side of the cliff. Bluewhisker stared at her, fur fluffed and eyes glowing in excitement. Dawnflight looked at the space he had jumped, almost throwing up as she did.

"Come on Dawnflight!" Bluewhisker yowled. Dawnflight looked back up and took a few steps back. "You can do it."

"I am gonna kill you!" Dawnflight screeched as she pelted towards the cliff and leaped off, flying through the air towards Bluewhisker.

The wind rushed through her fur as she hit the ground, landing on her side. She stood up a moment later, shaking dust from her pelt. Turning around, she glared at Bluewhisker. "You're trying to kill me."

"Nah." Bluewhisker laughed then ran off. With a sigh, Dawnflight followed.

"Dawnflight?" A voice broke Dawnflight from her dream memory. She looked around, pain streaking through her at each movement. Then she saw Sagenose. Sagenose stared at her, silent. Finally, he spoke.

"Why...why didnt you tell me..." Sagenose asked quietly. Dawnflight, confused, tilted her head.

"Why didn't you tell me...you are pregnant..."

OH MY GAWD. I AM SOOOOOO SORRY!!! IM FINALLY BACK! I PROMISE ON MY LIFE I WILL START ALL MY BOOKS UP! SOMETHING HAPPENED AND I COULDN'T USE MY PHONE. MIXED WITH WATTPAD BLOCKED AT SCHOOL, I COULDN'T WRITE WHATSOEVER.
