It's been months since mom past away and it seems that dad isn't doing to well because of it. I haven't seen him go outside or even eat really. He just kind of stares off into space almost like he's looking for her. The phone has been ringing none stop for days now but dad never answers. There's a lot of dirty clothes scattered around the house with dishes filling up the sink.
I can hear dad crying in his room every night through my bedroom wall. I haven't been going to school very much ever since everything happened and when I did go the other kids would snicker about how I looked. They would make fun of the fact that I would always come in with nasty looking clothes and how they thought I was poor.
"How can she go out of the house looking like a hobo?" one girl chuckled.
"I know right? She looks so gross and she smells even worse." another agreed.
Standing feet away from them I could hear everything they said about me. As soon as they noticed that I had heard them they just laughed at me. I couldn't bring myself to say anything back to them because I felt as at any moment I could burst into tears. They continued to laugh at me and it felt like they were getting louder with every passing moment.
One of the girl started to point her finger at me while she looked around to her other friends to join in. Seeing this freaked me out because I didn't want anymore people to bother me. They then started to walk in my direction and I just didn't want to think what they were going to do. I slowly started to walk backward's keeping an eye on the girls when suddenly they started to keep up speed. Without even thinking I went into a sprint in hopes to get away from them.
Through my frantic breaths I could hear the girls tailing me. I honestly didn't even know just how many of them there were. During all this I hysterically try my best not to trip while looking for a place to hide. Just ahead I notice a girls bathroom not to far a head of me that had two ways of getting in and out.
'If I can get in there, I could get out though the other door and hopefully lose them.' I thought.
With a rush of confidence I made a mad dash into the bathroom slamming the door open. I stumbled past the rows of stalls with the second door in my sites.
'Just a little further Sarah, you can do it!'
But just when I grabbed the handle the door stopped in it's place.
"Huh?" I muttered as I try to pull the door open again with the dreaded sound of the lock forcing it to stay closed. "Locked?" I wined in confusion.
"Why is this locked?!" I continued to tug on the door.
This door was never locked and I just couldn't understand why it was to begin with. But then I heard the door on the other end of the bathroom open with the girls laughter following. There was no were for me to hide in time as this restroom wasn't that big. They rounded the corner and found me back to the door hands pressed on either side.
"There she is. Lets get her!" One of the girls said maliciously.
They surrounded me leaving no way to get out. They were all shouting at me at once and I couldn't make out much.
The group started to chant "Smelly little poor girl!" as they began to toss toilet paper and hand towels at me. It almost sounded like they were singing a happy little tune while they were carrying on.
I started to cry because I felt so powerless. No matter how much I begged them to stop they wouldn't listen nor did they care. "Please leave me alone!" I tried so hard to make my voice louder then theirs but even I couldn't hear my own voice.
The first girl who started all of this got real close to me gripping my hair in her hand. She got behind me and held me in place one one of her friends could punch me in the stomach. I lunged forward just to be pulled right back into place.
They beat me for what seemed like several minutes causing me to sob uncontrollably. Just when I thought it wouldn't ever end the lights began to flicker so much so the girls even noticed and stopped hitting me. It was so quite in the bathrooms you could hear the hum of the lights. Suddenly one of said lights exploded letting down shards of glass hitting the floor.
We all stood there looking at one another dumbfounded, it was just so random. But then another light blew, then another and another till all of them were blown out.
"What the hell just happened guy's?" one of them asked.
They started talking amongst each other when I realize that I'm started to feel very light headed and sapped of energy. Their voices started to be come muffled and my vision was getting blurry.
'I feel like I'm going to-' I couldn't even continue my thought when everything suddenly goes dark.
