It has been several weeks now. Jisung and Y/n had gotten really close. So close that it was weird that they weren't dating already. Even their friends think they should date already. Some of them thought that for a long time, while others just joined the ship that was sailing.
Y/n had been going to school for a few weeks now, and so far, she was managing it all just fine.
There, she was in the school's library, doing research for a project. She sat at a table with all her friends. They were all doing their own things while enjoying being with one another. Y/n stood up. "Where are you going?" Jisoo asked. "Getting a book." she replied. "I'll come with you to stretch my legs a bit." "You do you."
"Which book do you need?" Jisoo asked as they stood in front of the correct section. "It's called Logic behind letters by Hwo Minhyuk." she replied. Both of them sighed as they realized that his name was included in a big part of the section. "I'll look here. You start there." Jisoo says and parts ways with Y/n for now.
In the meantime, Y/n's screen lit up. Jisung noticed it and looked. Her mother was calling. He wasn't going to pick it up as the library was quite busy so he picked up the phone and walked over to where Y/n is, to give her her phone and notify her about the missed call as it could be an emergency.
Y/n looked for the book. As she was reaching for it, someone spoke to her. "How about I get it for you? In exchange for some of your time." a classmate of her said. She didn't particularly like him as he was always flirting. "What makes you think I need help?" she asked and jumped, grabbing a hold of the book. "Fair enough." he replied as he walked around the bookshelf to be on the same side as her. "How come it's so hard to be alone with you? I just want to chat for a bit." he said, touching a strand of her hair. "A library is not meant for chatting. Besides, shouldn't you go back to your girlfriend?" "I prefer staying with u." he replied and took a step towards her. Making her take a few steps back, bumping into Jisung. She wasn't scared that he was going to do something, but his flirting made her uncomfortable.
Jisung grabbed Y/n's hand. "I'd prefer you not flirting with her. She's not a toy to play with." he said to her classmate. Y/n heart was going wild. The way he had defended her. She could melt. "Let's go back." he said and looked into her eyes. The sudden eye contact made her flustered, her cheeks turned slightly red. She nodded and followed him back to the table, still holding his hand.
Jisoo had gone back to the table as well and saw they come back hand in hand. She slapped Hyunjin's shoulder out of excitement. "AH. What was that for?" he asked. "Look." she said and subtly pointed at the intertwined hands. "Oh my- This is great." Hyunjin said, getting excited as well.
"So, what happened back there for you guys to be holding hands now?" Hyunjin asked. Jisung's cheeks turned bright red at his friends question, and he quickly let go of Y/n's hand. "There was a guy making me comfortable. That's all." Y/n said. "Oh, your mom called by the way." Jisung said and gave her her phone. "I'll go call her back. Excuse me for a moment." she said. "Don't be away for too long. I'll miss you." Jisoo said, and Y/n did a thumbs up to her as a reply.
When she was far away enough. All the books and laptops were quickly closed. "What was that man?" Hyuk asked. "Nothing." Jisung replied. "Then why is that dude looking at you?" Taehyun asked. "He was just being a brat, that's all." Jisung said.
Y/n hurried back. She was breathing heavily as she placed her hands on the table. "We need to go home. My parents are on their way there." she said as she made eye contact with Jisung. "So what's the issue here?" Hyuk asked. "They think I live with Jisoo." she said. "We need to go. Your dad is going to freak out if he finds out you've been living with a boy." Jisoo said. "I know." Y/n said as she quickly stuffed all her belongings into her bag. Jisung and Jisoo quickly followed her example before following they her out of the library.
"Why are your parents even coming? Aren't they busy with their business?" Jisoo asked as they ran to the main entrance, hoping a taxi would be ready for them. "I don't know, man." Y/n said. "Let's just focus on getting there before them first." Jisung intervened.
