Chapter 4: Earning a part of themselves

Many years had passed with everyone mourning for Summer finally coming to pass, they made a gravestone overlooking the cliff towards the sun

Every now and then, they all visit the gravestone to do their own pray, while Ace only sung his lullaby, the only thing that keeps him from crying

After while the four siblings then attended Signal Academy where they get to train on their specialties

Everyone had unlocked their semblances and thus, begun their real training, everyone in the family specialised in many different professions

Ruby excelled in eye coordination, and able to hit a target at a great distance, but also with her semblance which was speed, making her more agile, meaning she was able to attack in close range

Yang excels in hand to hand combat but also specialises with shotguns, yet her semblance makes her an even more formidable combatant, she takes attacks head on, or when blocking, and whenever she wants, she uses all the kinetic energy into her attacks, making them even more powerful

Ace was able to fight in close and long range combat, able to do a few punches and kicks while also throwing many different daggers at his target, able to hit them, but with his semblance, he is able to control the gravity of almost anything he touches, and with his daggers, he is able to redirect them to hit key points on the target

Lily was able to fight in long range only, meaning she wasn't fit for combat yet she was great at singing, and with her semblance, she is able to protect people she wants to protect as she continues singing, meaning she is a great support

"Great job children" Everyone turned to a teacher at signal, "the fact that the four of you were able to survive for an hour from fighting the training dummies, all of you deserve the right to create your weapons"

Ruby's eyes shined bright as she heard this "OH MY GOSH I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE MY SCYTHE!" She then immediately ran towards one of the classroom workstations with the rest of them following

The workstation is where certain students can create their own unique weapon, and with the knowledge that the four of them learned at signal, they will be able to make anything their heart desires

Ruby immediately went to work in creating her weapon "You wanted to call your weapon 'Crescent Rose' right?" Ace spoke to which Ruby answered

"Yep! I want mine to look similar to Uncle Qrow's!" She says not looking at them as she continues building her weapon

"And you want to create something called the 'Ember Celica'?" Lily added

"Yea, with these babies, I'll be able to get close and personal with a few bad boys" Yang then turned to Ace and gave him a wink which made him sweat a little "Oh yea, what about you two? You said you were gonna make a few weapons called 'Reaper's Tarot' and 'Guardian'?

"Yea, since I mastered my semblance a bit, I want to create something that will suit my way of fighting, so I'll create around 1000 cards for myself"

"a thousand cards? Cooooool" Ruby said as she was sparkling

"And since I want to protect you, I want to create a flute, it can help with my singing a lot better, and maybe add some weapon into it to defend myself" Lily explained

"Nice, well let's get to work!" Yang spoke in a cheery tone to which everyone fist bumped the air shouting in unison "Yeah!"

They then spend many weeks creating their weapons

After many weeks, their weapons were finally completed with Ace finishing last, and after this, they were all sent home to wait for some final checkups on their weapons from Signal Academy
