Chapter 4

I woke up the next day, I had overslept. It was 1:03 in the afternoon. Being hungry, sure makes you tired. I got out of my car, and ran into the restaurant. Ethan smiles. I go to the bathroom, after using it I come back. Helen waves at me, from behind the cashier, Amani was working the cashier and taking in customers. "Hurry up and clock in we need someone to work the prize counter, I have a show coming up" Helen says, I nod, and begin to clock in. 

"Looks like someone's late" I hear a new jersey accent say. "Yes, I'm sorry Chuck E.-" I start, but he interrupts. "Boss" Chuck E. Cheese states, "w-what?" I stammer. "The workers here...They call me boss" Chuck E. Cheese replies. "Right" I say, walking off. He stops me. "Just remember any day is a good day at Chuck E. Cheese's" Chuck E. Cheese states, I nod, then go to the prize counter. "How do you do this?" I ask, Helen.

Amani chuckles. "Okay, so they get tokens to play the games. They win tickets, and the kids should have a ticket receipt...It should say 'Big winner, this voucher is good for... blank number of tickets. You are always a winner at Chuck E. Cheese, What bigger prize are you saving for?'...It should have a date, time, serial number" Helen states. I nod. "You input the amount into the calculator, and minus it when they get prizes that equals or is under the amount. There is also cash prizes, each penny equals 1 ticket, so kids can use there tickets as money" Helen explains, I nod.  Kids run up and pound on the glass, excitedly... I flinch. Helen hops over the counter, kids swarm her, she smiles. "It's almost showtime" Helen says. "Yaaaayyyy" The kids yell.
