Chapter 3 : Matt's P.O.V.

The sun was setting up in the blood-red sky. I could see it climbing up the invisible ladder to reach the top. I hopped out of bed and made my way to the closet. I quickly grabbed the fresh set of clothes and threw them on. I soon entered the bathroom, and started doing my hair. What? Even I can't look this good.

Once my hair was perfect, I walked down the steps to the breakfast bar. After eating breakfast, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. My motorcycle waited for me in the driveway. I sped to school, just so I could meet my friends and chat before the dredd day began. I was also thinking about that new girl. I feel like I've seen her before but I can't pinpoint it.

I had amnesia a couple months ago, so I can't remember anything from the last three years. Those three years are now just a blur in my memory.

-

I soon got to school, and parked my motorcycle in my unofficial spot. Making my way up to the school front I spotted that new girl. Amber.... Evelyn.... Aha! Emily! She looked like a celebrity, the way her brothers opened the door for her. She got out of the car wearing black converse, dark-blue ripped skinny jeans, a muscle with slits on the back, and light makeup that didn't make her look like one of those girls who have cake faces.

She was beautiful and pretty in every way. All the guys stopped what they were doing and stared at her butt as she turned around to close the door.

Dude, take a picture, it will last longer. She's mine. What the heck? I have no idea where that came from. But, I really doubt anyone would be able to date her, with those brothers of hers. It would be kind of impossible. They were like a wall. Even I'm scared.

I looked away and turned to face my friends. My friends were not helping either. They were talking about that girl, Emily. Ugh. Seriously? Why does everyone keep talking about her and her brothers? Whatever. They were talking about, maybe, dating her. Wait, what? They wanted to ask her out, today!!! Oh, no. What if she says yes? Whatever. I can score a girl like her any day. Plus, it would be hard to do that, with her brothers always close by. Besides, she probably already had a boyfriend. But, then again, probably not because of her brothers.

Cece was nearby, talking about how Emily was so funny, standing up to Chris, with her boyfriend, Joe, who was also my best friend.

-

When I walked into class, I saw Emily and Cece talking together and laughing. No surprise there.

Cece was known for being super sociable and nice. It was a natural thing for her. It looked like she and Emily were going to be best friends.

I've never seen Cece so relaxed. But, that wasn't the thing that intrigued me most. It was Emily. She was so relaxed and her smile was so bright, it lit up the room. Wait, wait, wait...why am I being like this? I'm a player and yet I've never thought of someone this way before. Woah. Uh oh. I got it bad for her.

I slipped into a chair beside Joe and got out my books. "Hey Matt." Joe greeted me with a smile. I smiled back at him before responding him with a hello. "Hey, you know Emily?" he asked.

"Why, of course I know Emily." I said.

"Well Cece invited her to sit with us today, if you don't mind." he spoke, yet looked towards the front, not concerning me at all. What a great friend.

"Of course I don't mind." I said, following his lead to look towards the front. "Okay, good." he replied, and we soon focused ourselves towards the front.

-

Whew. Finally lunch. I walked quickly behind Emily, without her noticing. It was a perfect way to look at her butt and those legs that were so perfect. When we got to the lunchroom, she looked up from her book and sat next to Cece. I slipped next to Joe, who was sitting next to Cece.

I noticed her brothers staring at her from a table that was two tables away. They looked kind of worried.

Oh, please. It's not going to be that bad. One of her brothers stood up and walked over to her. They whispered something to her that I couldn't hear. Emily nodded and smiled. Oh shit, that smile.

Just as I was about to eat, one of my friends asked her a question. I didn't care what he was going to ask, at first. So, I ate a bite of my pasta. Gah. I almost choked. Unfortunately, I had heard the question: Are you single? Seriously? Dude, your going to ask her out?

To my relief, she said no and told him that she wasn't interested. Suddenly, boys came over to her and shoved each other, just to ask her out. Pfft. Ha!

Emily's brothers came over and told them to back off and all boys scurried off. It was hilarious. At least they have the guts to ask her. My mind scolded at me. I knew it was right.

I was stuck in thought, that I didn't seem to notice that she left. I also didn't seem to notice the boys that had come back to her and asked her out without her brothers noticing. She was such a mystery to me.

-

Ringgggg! The bell rang to signal that it was the end of school. I walked out to the parking lot to see Brody opening his car door for Emily. What?! She's going home with him? I noticed every other boy glaring at him. Even though Brody was my friend, I couldn't help but glare as well. Oh well, whatever. I got onto my motorcycle and drove home.
