Chapter 8 : Chris's P.O.V.
School was back in session. Kids milled around the halls, on the way to classes or waiting for friends. I sighed. Where was Cole? Probably with some chick.
"Oh, hey Chris." Emily startled me. I looked at her figure, then at her brothers. For some odd reason, they weren't with her.
"Hey?" I said, question like.
"What's your class?" she asked.
"Umm... Math."
"So I'll see you after that?" she said.
"Yeah." I nodded.
I walked to my next class, just thinking about that conversation makes me shiver and blush. I was in too deep, in too deep.
"Okay class, today we are going to start Geometry.", Mrs. George said. After a while, I zoned out. I thought about how Emily looked this morning, last Saturday playing tackle football with us, how Emily's hair flew when she ran. Damn. I was so whipped. Big trouble.
Ringgggg! I walked into the gym to find Emily stretching. Damn. Those legs. They could go on forever. "Hey.", Emily smiled at me, making me mentally shake my head to shake out the thoughts of her running through my mind. Shit. That smile. "Hey.", I replied. I quickly went to the locker room to change and put down my backpack. As I walked out of the locker room, I saw Cece talking to her. I watched as she threw her head back as she laughed at something Cece said. I wish I could make her laugh like that. Her smile was so damn bright. It lit up the gym. I got it bad.
"Okay, class. Today we're going to play soccer.", my gym teacher, Mr. Fitch said. I watched Emily play as we played. The way her ponytail swished back and forth as she ran. She was pretty fast. She could try out for track and get in immediately. I shook my head, thinking it could get the thoughts out. But, no...I just can't.
The bell rings once again when the period ends. I change and quickly get my backpack. I walk out, seeing Emily. She waves before turning around the corner, heading towards her next class.

Emily's P.O.V.
As the bell rang for lunch, I packed up my things and walked out of class. Just as I came out, I bumped into Brody. "Oof!", I half yelled-half whispered. "Shit. Sorry. Didn't mean for that to happen.", he said to me. I smiled and said, "It's okay. I'm hungry."
"Hey guys!", I said as I sat down next to Cece, taking out my lunch. It was Chicken Alfredo Pasta with a Naked drink. Matt, Chris, and the other boys nodded at me before going to go back to eat their lunch. Then, Cece sparked up a conversation. "Hey, Em, a lot of boys are looking at you." Wait, what? Sure enough, a lot of boys were staring at our table. But they weren't just staring at the table, they were staring at me.
"Uh...", I said, unsure what to do. Suddenly, Brody and Chris came over to me from the other side,
"Hi." they said in unison. I just nodded and went back to eating.
Nobody said anything after that, and we ate in comfortable silence. Although the
awkward air lingered, and the stares were noticeable, I ignored it. Ringgggg! Whew, I finally
got to go.
By the end of the day, my brothers and I got in our cars. We drove home and I threw my bag to the floor. I flopped down on my mattress, tired from the day at school. Ugh...boys, drama, stares, and...shoot! I totally forgot that I had a photo shoot. I raced into my walk-in closet, looked around, and pulled out a cute mini-dress from Burlington Coat Factory. I, then, jogged downstairs with my purse and keys. I said goodbye to my brothers.
I opened the door, and came crashing into Brody. "Oh my god! Are you okay? I'm so sorry. I was just about to go to my photo shoot and was heading out the door. I wasn't looking and —", just then, Brody slapped his hand over my mouth.
I hurried off to where the photo shoot would be taking place, knowing that the crew there wouldn't be happy with me if I arrived late. So, I quickly hopped into my new Jaguar Sports Car
that my mom had gave to me as a gift for coming here.
"Hey guys! I'm here!", I yelled as soon as I opened the damn door. That door was really heavy. Jessie and Callie came over to hug me. They had been my friends ever since our first shoot. They never really stayed inside their homes. I think they spend more time traveling than . They lived in San Fran.
"Hurry up Emily! We still need to prep you!", someone yelled from the back. I smiled at my friends and backed away, walking over to the dressing room.
"So...I wear this?", I asked my stylist, Sylvia. She nodded her head and styled my hair into a bun and added a silver pin that matched my outfit.
I stepped out of the dressing rooms wearing a gorgeous mini-dress and twirled a little so that it would lift and spin with me. My friends clapped and smiled in approval. I grinned and walked off to where the camera crew was.
After taking about a bagillion pictures, Jessie, Callie, and I went down to a nearby café. We walk in and sit down at one of the tables by the window. I ask my friends what they want and go wait in line to order. Just as I'm about to pay, someone holds out his credit card to the cashier,"I'll pay for her." I turn around to find Brody smirking at me. Woah. When did he show up? While waiting for the drinks, I smiled at him and said," You know, you didn't have to pay for me. I'm perfectly fine paying for myself. But...thanks." He just smiled at me, nodding his head,"You're welcome."
I got my drinks and walked over to where my friends and I were sitting. Halfway walking there, I stopped and turned to look at Brody,"Do you want to sit with us?" He shook his head before saying,"I can't, I have to go home to my mom. She's expecting me to go home because one of her friends are coming for dinner. I'm really sorry." I nodded at him and smiled, then flicked my hand to the door. He waved and turned towards the door, leaving. I smiled inside and then sat down at the table. My friends were staring at me with their jaws on the floor. I stared confusingly at them. I had never seen them like this before. It was kind of weird. "What?", I said breaking the silence. They quickly came back to reality and said," Do you even know who he was?" I just shrugged, it wasn't even a big deal. "Yeah." I said, grinning.
