Chapter 1 : Emily's P.O.V.

I stared out the window. The happy memories I've held onto for so long were left behind. My father was left behind. Sigh. I wish I'd stayed. But, as much as I wanted to, I knew I couldn't. I didn't want want to leave my family and I didn't want to leave, but a minor like me? Hell, I'd be dead by now. Although New York was full of creeps, it had, at least been the longest place I've ever lived in. I had lived there for 6 years, in our huge apartment. Thanks to my mom's fashion line.

As we pulled into the driveway, the view was absolutely beautiful from the outside. There was no doubt that it was the same on the inside. It was the same as all the other neighboring houses. Gorgeous. All 14 of us marveled over the mansion, as we walked in.

The place had wood tiles, marble staircases, an elevator, beautiful dining room, big kitchen, and 20 rooms with bathrooms and, in each. Even all the bedrooms we have looked in have a walk-in closet.

As my dear brothers stared absentmindedly at the house, I hurried upstairs to claim my room. It was the third biggest in the house, next to my mom's and the twins, because they wanted to share one.

My room had a balcony with french doors, that had glass windows. The huge walk-in closet was visible in the corner and was going to be filled with so many of my clothes in no time because of my gigantic 4 suitcases and my mom's credit card and her obsession with buying me clothes. The bathroom had a marble counter and a huge jacuzzi with your normal everyday stuff. I also had a queen-sized bed and a desk beside it.

Even though the color of the walls was not to my liking, it would have to do. I need to go out and get paint and decorations soon, my mind made a quick note to do so. I got out my stuff and began unpacking.

-

As I put my last essential away, my mom called. "Kids, the neighbors are here!" Huh? I didn't know they would be here. Oh, well, whatever.

The boys went trampling down the stairs after she said that. When they saw that the family had a boy, they guarded me by standing near me and by my sides. This boy probably thought it was pretty weird that I had so many brothers, since it looked like he was the only kid.

"Hi!", I greeted him, since my brothers were too busy studying him. The boy looked kind of scared of them. Oh, well, whatever.

"I'm Emily.", I told him. I looked at my brothers and cleared my throat. They looked kind of startled, for a second, but quickly regained their posture. They introduced themselves and I found out that the boy's name was Brody.

"Kids, time for dinner!", my mom yelled. Dinner was actually pretty okay. The boys got along fine and I found myself with a new best friend.

-

After dinner, we all went to the game room. We had brought our games and game systems with us. There was too much of that stuff, so we found a room for it. I guess you could say that we were already loaded, but my mom loves her job. She always said that once you found one, you had to hold onto it. So, money was never really a big deal for us.

After playing for about 2 hours and watching a movie, Brody and his parents left. We cleaned up the popcorn and the candy wrappers. Then, we all started getting sleepy and retired to our rooms. I went to go shower and got into bed.

-

"Morning hon.", my mom greeted me as I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning mom.", I greeted her back. Everyone was already seated at the breakfast bar. "Hey guys!", the boys just gave me a nod. Typical teenagers.
