Chapter 6

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys! We're really really sorry that we couldn't get the chance to write these past few months. We really hope you can forgive us, and again—we're really really, really sorry. But, thanks for reading!

Matt's P.O.V.

I could feel the beat in the souls of my feet. The smell of alcohol and cigarettes lingered in the air. How come these parties were always this way? Just then, I saw the Wells.

I should of known they would be here. Popularity comes with its perks. They didn't need to do anything to be popular but it's not like I care.

"Hey man!" Brody said, his arm around Emily's waist. What? Are they dating? I should have seen it coming. I still have to be nice, he is my best friend after all.

Emily was wearing light makeup, along with red lipstick. Her hair was straightened, making it longer. The dress she wore was a deep red velvet color that matched her lipstick. Her black converse were daring. That was unusual, I thought girls only wore heels or flats. Oh well, Emily was special. Different.

"Hey." I said, my voice dull.

"This is Emily, but I guess you already new that." He said.

"Hi, we haven't officially met, I'm Emily. I sit next to you in class." She mumbled something under her breath before sticking her hand out. She looked around the room before shouting, "EVAN! GET OVER HERE, NOW!" she called her brother with a loud voice, that startled me.

A boy, about the same age, came up to us and gave Emily a glare.

"What?" he whined.

"Introduce yourself. You're the one who wanted to come to this party. And oh sure, bring the sister along. Why couldn't you bring the twins or something? Why me?", the siblings bickered.

"Because, Brody wanted to come, and everyone else wanted to stay home and get themselves settled in. They said they would be here later, when the nanny arrives." , Evan replied calmly.

"Fine." Emily said.

Evan turned to me, "Sorry for my annoying sister. I'm Evan." I chuckled and gave him a fist bump, the ones that all the guys know.

"No. Sorry for my brother", Emily argued.

I laughed and said," Would you like a drink, Emily?" She laughed.

"Sure."

I went to the bar and got a drink for both of us. On the way back, I bumped into Chris. Uh oh...

"Hello, there. Just the person I wanted to talk to. I think I should get straight to the point. You better stay away from Emily. She's going to be mine, soon.", he said. Just before I could open my mouth to say something, Emily walked up. "Chris, you better stop and thank you Matt. Now, c'mon.", Emily took the drink from me, grabbed my arm and dragged me away from the glaring Chris. Thank goodness.

"What did he say to you?" Emily asked me. I guess she didn't hear the she's mine part.

"It's really nothing. We don't really like each other. I guess the only thing we have in common is Brody." I told her. It was true. We don't like each other. But i guess i lied to her, because Chris and I hated each other. To the bone. Especially after what happened. But that's a different story for a different time.

"Well...okay then." Emily grabbed my arm. "Let's dance!" She was a great dancer. She moved to the beat, flowing with it. Her hips moved like Helen Keller. Ha.

Man In The Hat by Mac MIller was playing and a chorus of cheers rang in the room. Everyone swayed and jumped, as adrenaline pumped through my blood. Emily and I danced till midnight. When it hit, the games were about to begin. The party might last past the sunrise.

"Okay, spin the bottle." Cole said, grabbing his now empty beer and putting it in the center of the circle.

"Me first!" Emily squealed. She leaned forwards, turned around and looked me in the eye. Giving me a sly grin she turned back around. She spun the bottle and eyes watched and waited for it to land. It slowed down and soon landed on someone. Chris. Of course. But it was all on luck. And he had so much luck, that would last him till the day he died.

"Um lets see, Emily and Chris, what to do, what to do?" Cole said. He always chose what would happen. "7 minutes in heaven. Come on, up you guys go." Both Emily and Chris got up and followed Cole. Eyes followed along waiting for the next event to occur. Cole stopped in front of a closet. It was my worst nightmare. Chris and Emily. Not again.

"Now that they're doing that, who's next?" Cole returned to his spot. "No one? Okay then, I guess it's my turn." he took the bottle and spun it. Round and round it went before stopping in front a a cheerleader.

"Matt, you chose what we have to do." With... me? Seriously?

"Umm okay." I said, still unsure.

"You guys had to keg stand together, in only your underwear." I said. They began to strip down. One they were half naked, they grabbed one of the keg stands and Cole grabbed the edge and did a handstand. The cheerleader then did the same facing her back to him.

Five minutes later, Cole redden and gave up. He landed onto his feet, as did the girl. Cheer erupted and the circle was put together. A tomato colored Emily and Chris was back, giving sneaky smiles to each other, only caught by me.

"Matt your up." Cole said, breaking my thoughts. I leaned forward and spun the bottle. It landed on an uninvited guest. A nerd. Not that I didn't mind, I was a nerd myself. Straight A's and such. But as I said, Chris took up all the luck in the world, that I left with bad luck. With a sigh I looked at Cole he gave me a smirk.

"Well, I want you to strip down in only your underwear," he looked at me before turning to the girl, "And for you to watch. Both of you go to the bedroom, keep the door open. We will be watching." Cole looked between the girl and I, his sick grin growing bigger by the second.

After the game, everyone slowly end up in the middle of the dance floor before she gets tired of dancing. Then we go to the bar to talk and drink. While we're talking, Brody, Chris, and some of her brothers walk over to us. They don't look very happy with me sitting with Emily. Uh oh...

"Hey, guys!", Emily exclaimed. How she could be so perky while brothers are glaring daggers at me, I had no idea. Her brothers stopped glaring, just long enough to say hello, back.

This was getting bad. Really bad...
