Smoke filled the air. Making it harder to breathe. The fire was spreading from the kitchen to upstaris. I grabbed the picture of me and my family from my side table and started running. I threw open my bedroom door and ran out.

"TYLER WHERE ARE YOU!" I screamed.

"OVER HERE SPENCER COME ON LET'S GET OUT OF HERE." He screamed cradling me in his arms.

He ran down the stairs and out the front door across the street. The ground felt rough under my bare feet, and the picture frame was clutched tightly in my hands.

"Stay here I'm goin to get mom and dad don't move."

With that he ran away, towards my burning house. Towards the danger. I just stood there for 5 minutes waiting and looking for any sign of life in my house. There was none to be seen. No one came out of the home I'd grown up in. No Tyler. No mom. No dad. Or even my dog Jake. Nothing. It was lifeless. Silent.

I could hear the sirens coming closer and closer, nearing my lonely figure. I gripped the picture t o me chest hugging it. It was the only piece of the house I had left. The only memory. The truck arrived and started to spray the house with water. 5 firemen went in the house. 16 minutes later they back out. And with them...they were carrying te dead bodies of my family. My brother. My mommy and my daddy.

"Woof woof" I hear. Jake comes running out of the burning house towards. He crosses the street and runs up to me am jumps on me like my face. I hug him close. Jake is only 2 years old. He all I have left now. Besides that picture if my family.
