We've finally reached the end.
This was one of the longest fics I have done with one book and I thank you all for sticking with me and showing support up to the end. All notifications that popped up as I wrote made my day and helped with motivation and inspiration and I encourage you all to continue as it helps all authors keep writing.
I know several chapters were spent without Legolas and sometimes that makes the motivation to brave on reading one of a particular challenge but that just provided several opportunities to develop Viridis' character into someone more personable and loveable.
I've been working on this book for months longer than it usually takes me because I struggled to imagine a way to end the series but I am happy with the overall product as I hope all of you are as well.I will be taking a small break from publishing anything new until I have given myself a chance to breathe a bit without the looming pressure nagging me in the back of my mind to write and stay on some semblance of a schedule. As much as I enjoy it (as writing is literally one of the few joys I have left), I want to write on my own time and hopefully give myself the chance to create something I can be proud of in my drafts before publishing it for everyone else to share that same joy with me. Thank you all for the support.
Edit June 29, 2024:
The sequel is out now and is called Nepenthe! I am excited to share it all with you and recommend checking it out if you missed Viridis and Legolas' journey.
Thank you to everyone who recommended a second book and gave me motivation to write!Hope everyone enjoyed accompanying Viridis on his journeys through Middle Earth and I hope to see you all in the future.
