A fair day at the fair

Enid's pov:

I took Wednesday's hand and guided her out the dorm. It was a warm day with birds everywhere. The flowers glistening in the sun but it wasn't as bright as her eyes. "So what the sudden change?" I asked her. She was looking at a spider crawling. Her eyes glowed with excitement. It was like watching a child play. I grabbed her shoulder. "Wednesday." I must have caught her of guard because she quickly smashed the spider. She turned around and saw me. Her eyes softened. She turned around and looked at the remains of the spider. She frowned. "Sorry I was not listening. Can you repeat that?" I smiled at her sudden apology. "What changed. You usually hate hanging out.. with me." She paused at the words. "I don't know.. I just. Wanted to."

A little while later me and Wednesday arrived at the spot we were suppose to meet Zach. Zach rushed over to us waving. "Hey sorry I'm late." He stoped to catch his breath. "No it's ok we just got here." I smiled a reassuring smile. He smiled in return. "Hey Wednesday is here too! Isn't that great." I pulled Wednesday in front of me hugging her tightly from the back. She made a small noise, surprised from my sudden hug. "Enid let go." Her voice serious. "Don't you like my hugs?" I said pulling her body closer. I knew Wednesday didn't want to hurt me so she started pinching me. I let go immediately. "So enid want to go to the fair?"

Wednesday's pov:

Zach asked Enid to go to the fair with him. He acted like I wasn't there. "Sure!" Enid smiled looking at him with weird eyes. This day is going to be hell and not the good type. Zach smiled back and wrapped his arm around her arm. They started to walk leaving me behind. Enid turns her head and looked at me. She unlinked her arm with Zach's and grabbed my hand. She smiled at me. That smile always gets me lost. A warm feeling takes over. My heart beats faster and my hands get sweaty. I get nervous and lose the words to speak. My body feels paralyzed like a deer in headlights. She pulls me along and I feel as she is my only guide. The only one that mattered. The only one I wanna love.

We arrive at the fair and it is packed with people. "Let's go over there." Zach points to the strong man game. He drags Enid along. Again leaving me behind. I eventually make it to the spot he was pointing to. "I'll win you the biggest bear." Zach said smiling at enid. He picked up the hammer and started tumbling over. He caught his balance and could barely lift the hammer over his head. Enid looked him and giggled quietly. He gave her a side eye to show that he was actually struggling. She instantly stopped  laughing. He swung the hammer. The bell went up half way and then came back down. He sighed and look up at Enid. "Move aside." I said grabbing the hammer from his hand. Sure it had a little bit of weight on it but it wasn't that heavy. I lift the hammer and swung. The bell went up and broke. The guy working the game looked at me in shock. "Oh my god." He said. He shook my hand. "Here you go miss. Next time let the little lady Handle it." He said to Zach. I glared at him for the name but he wasn't wrong. Enid stared at me. When I looked at her she immediately smiled. She ran towards me and hugged me. "Oh my god Wednesday!" She squealed. "Pick a bear." The man said happily. Enid scanned the bears. She spotted one and I can see the love in her eyes. "That one!" It was a 3 foot bear. The man nodded and turned to get the bear. He lifted it and grunted as he handed her the bear. She squeezed it. "Thank you Wednesday." She gave me lovely eyes and kissed me on the cheek. Zach's face turned red in anger and embarrassment.

Enid's pov:

I tried to go along with the plan but I couldn't resist Wednesday. I looked around the fair and spotted a petting zoo. My eyes lit up. "Let's go there!" I pointed. I took Wednesday's hand and guided her. We waited in line for about 15 mins. When we got past the line I rushed over to the pigs. They were so cute. I pet it and smiled. Zach was grossed out. "I'll just wait for you guys outside." He walked away. I looked over to Wednesday and saw her petting a baby pig. She was petting it so carefully and her eyes was filled with joy. "You know I've never see you this careful before." She looked up at me and smiled. "What is that supposed to mean?" I shrugged. "I promise I'll be careful with your heart." She whispered in my ear. I blushed at her words. Our time was up and we left. We met up with Zach who looked mad. "Wednesday can I talk to you?" He looked over at Enid. "Alone."

Wednesday's pov:

I followed Zach into the back of the fair. "Listen Enid is mine. So back off." I looked him up and down. "What are you gonna do if I don't." He groaned. He lifted his hands and made a symbol. Time felt as it stopped and a black dust surrounded me. "Back off Wednesday Addams." He put his hands down and walked away. I felt frozen but soon after followed. "What did you guys talk about?" Enid asked. "Oh nothing. Let's go over there." He pointed to a bull fight area. We walked over there and placed our bets. Once we sat down the gane started. "Come on 3!" Zach screamed. He took a big sip of his water. I watched as his eyes changed with a red glow to it. He stared hardly and then twisted his head. The 3rd bull started to run faster wining the game. What was that I wondered. Is he a.. siren?
