Ochaco had been trapped for a year and 4 months. Overhaul and his minions kept injecting the young girl with multiple mysterious liquids, each one resulting in a frustrated Overhaul. Soon, Ochaco had started changing, from the inside. Ochaco doesn't know about these changes, but Overhaul certainly does. Ochaco is kept in a cellar with only an old mattress with a white pillow and a thin navy blue blanket and a single lightbulb for light.

Creeeeeaaaaakkk!

Ochaco lifted her head from her pillow to see that One of Overhaul's minions was standing at in the doorway. She couldn't see anything but his outline because of the sudden bright light. He threw two things, which landed with a thud and a squeak, and closed the door. Ochaco blinked a few times to regain her sight. Her eyes widened.

There were two girls laying on the ground.

"W-where are we?!" one of the girls questioned, panic in her voice was as clear as a piece of glass. "When are we getting out of here?!"

She had pale skin, forest green eyes, smooth bright yellow hair that ended in the middle of her back.

The other girl, who had an arm in front of the other one, had caramel skin, blood red eyes, messy navy blue hair that was in two loose pigtails at the base of her neck.

Both of them were wearing the same hospital gown as Ochaco.

"ANSWER THE QUESTION, PIPSQUEAK!" the girl with blue hair shouted, glaring at Ochaco. Ochaco glanced around the room, inspecting the dirty walls, the dim light, the singular bed that she was sitting on, and the two clearly terrified girls.

"The guest room," Ochaco replied, staring blankly at the two girls, her voice monotone.

"WHY WAS A MAN WITH A STUPID BIRD COSPLAY GIVING US SHOTS?!" the loud girl shouted again, her glare never leaving Ochaco. Ochaco just shrugged. This angered the loud girl. She stomped towards Ochaco while her friend tried to stop her.

"Wait! Taya, she might really not know anything!" she exclaimed, pulling onto her friend's hand and being dragged.

"I'M NOT GOING TO JUST LET THIS PIPSQUEAK THINK THAT SHE CAN LIE TO US!" Taya shouted, still stomping towards Ochaco.

How is she not losing her voice right now? It's funny.

"You're very loud," Ochaco stated, staring at Taya. She stopped in her tracks, staring at Ochaco.

"Uh oh..." the other girl mumbled and started to back away from her hotheaded friend.

"YOU LITTLE-"

"I like it," Ochaco added, a shine in her eyes that hadn't been there before sparkled.

Taya stood there. No one had ever said that they liked how loud she was. This was a first.

"I've never heard such a loud voice before," Ochaco explained, tilting her head to the side. "Why does your voice do that? Can I do that?"

The other girl slowly walked to Taya's side and whispered, "You alright?"

Taya stayed silent, observing Ochaco. The girl's skin was pale, like she never went outside. Her brown eyes were dull until her comment a few moments ago, but they still seemed dead. Her brown hair was a little past her shoulders and looked messy and greasy. She wore the same hospital gown like her and her friend, looking brand new. She had multiple band aids on her arms and legs, even one on her neck.

"Taya?"

"Emily," Taya whispered, not taking her eyes off of Ochaco, "I don't think we're getting out anytime soon..."

Taya was angrily chasing a boy, screaming.

The boy had tan skin, slicked back white hair, and light gray eyes. He wore a black sweater with a big white smiley face on the front, dark gray sweatpants, and dark red tennis shoes with lavender laces.

"GET BACK HERE YOU BABY GIRAFFE!" Taya yelled, gaining on the poor boy.

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO SPILL YOUR BOBA TEA, TAYA! I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" he yelled back, hoping to calm her down, but the opposite happened.

"I'LL RIP YOU LIMB FROM LIMB, JOSHUA!"

Emily was watching the chase from a metal bench, concerned, while a boy next to her was rolling on the ground laughing.

He had dark chocolate brown skin, curly olive green hair that framed his face, and teal eyes. He wore a yellow long sleeved shirt, a pair of blue overalls, and a pair of blue and black Jordans.

"I don't like th- What are you doing?!" Emily exclaimed, staring at her neighbor on the ground, crying from laughing.

"I-... *deep breath* BaBy GiRaFfE... Pfffffffffft!" He started laughing again while Emily glanced at her cousin being chased by her school friend.

"I hope that my mother doesn't see this..." she groaned into her hands. "What about your mother, Daniel?" Emily lifted her head to see that Daniel had joined chasing Joshua around the playground, causing Emily to facepalm.

"Aww! They're playing tag together! How sweet!" Daniel's mother commented to her two friends.

"They're taking it pretty seriously," Emily's mother said, amused. "I wish Emily would join them..."

"It's alright, Stewart!" Taya's mother said, patting Emily's mother's shoulder. She smiled in gratitude.

"Thank you, but you don't have to call me by my last name. Paula is just fine," Emily's mother said, her smile brightening. "How about we get another drink?" The other mothers agreed and got in line to the hot chocolate booth beside the park, getting distracted by talking about their high school days.

Taya had successfully caught Joshua and slapped him. She was now satisfied and sitting between Emily and Daniel while Joshua pouted on the other side of Daniel.

"That'll teach you to mess with me, Baby Giraffe!" Taya exclaimed, proud of catching the tallest of the group. Joshua only sobbed in response, making Taya grin. Emily was staring into the snow, tuning out her friends' arguing.

crunch Crunch Crunch CRUNCH CRUNCH

Emily lifted her head, the footsteps behind the bench getting louder. She turned her head to see a man in his mid 30s. He had dark skin, long gray hair that was tied into a low ponytail by a black ribbon, and sharp black eyes. He grinned, showing his sharp canines, and held up a hand. Emily's eyes widened and then the four 6 year olds disappeared.

Hope you liked the chapter. The boys will meet Ochaco later. PLUS ULTRA!
