3 Years Later...

"Are... are you sure this will work...?" Emily questioned, staring at the pieces of food on Taya's plate.

Emily's smooth bright yellow hair had dulled slightly, got slightly messier, and grew, ending at the beginning of her thighs. She had grown like everyone else, but at a much slower pace. Her already pale skin became even paler over the years. And Overhaul had given them all new gowns twice because their old ones were too tight. Only once for Emily though.

"Why are you questioning it?!" Taya spat, glaring at Emily.

Taya's messy navy blue hair that had once ended at her shoulders now ended just above her hips. They were still in her usual pigtails, but her hair was messier than before. Her caramel skin was now a pale brown. Taya was now the tallest of the group and continuously brags about it, much to the annoyance of Joshua and Emily. She doesn't explode as much as she did, but does so on certain occasions.

"I-... I just don't think that we have enough information to execute a good plan," Emily responded, crossing her arms. Taya puffed her cheeks and turned to Joshua with a glare.

"What did I do?!" he questioned, sweating a bit.

Joshua's slicked back white hair was now messy with hairs all over the place and was now light brown from all of the dust. Overhaul didn't like the dust, but he wasn't going to let them go down another hallway, so he just had to deal with it. His hair also now ended just above his shoulders. His tan skin was now fair. Joshua was the second shortest of the group, which annoys him to pieces.

"Talk some sense into your cousin," Taya whispered into his ear. Joshua glanced to Emily, who was thinking through the plan, then to Taya, who was glaring at him with a dark aura around her. He chuckled nervously before scooting towards his cousin.

"Hey, Em!" he exclaimed, a wide grin on his face. Emily turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

"What?"

"Well," Joshua started, glancing at Taya again, "I just thought that we should go with this plan!"

"What?!"

"Let me finish!" Joshua exclaimed, raising up both of his hands. "I'm just saying that it's better that we get out of here sooner than later! Don't you want to see Auntie?"

Emily's eyes widened slightly and she looked at the floor.

"Of course I want to see Mommy, but..." Emily sighed. "I don't want anything bad to happen to any of us..."

Joshua glanced towards Taya. Her expression softened and she crawled to Emily.

"Sorry, Em," she whispered, giving her a side hug. Joshua joined the hug from Emily's other side, resting his head on her shoulder. "I just want to get out of here..."

"I know," Emily whispered, resting her head on Taya's shoulder, "but I just don't think that it would be this easy to get out..."

"Like the movies?" Joshua asked, glancing towards the mattress where Daniel was sleeping.

"Yeah... Like the movies..."

BANG!

The four children flinched and turned towards the door. A guard was standing there, holding Ochaco by her gown's collar, and glared at each child with his cold turquoise eyes. Daniel pulled up the navy blanket to his chest as he started trembling while the others huddled closer to each other. The guard rolled his eyes, threw Ochaco onto the floor, then left, closing the door behind him. The children rushed towards Ochaco.

Ochaco's hair now ended at her butt and bangs had to be tucked behind her ears because they were getting so long. Her skin had gotten paler, but not as drastic as everyone else's. Ochaco is in the middle of the height scale, a little shorter than Daniel. She also had started showing emotions again. Thanks to everyone including her into their group, she's expressed herself better.

Daniel's curly olive hair now ended just below his chin and was super frizzy. His dark chocolate skin was now walnut brown. Daniel is the second tallest of the group, but he doesn't really care. And he has gotten quite close to Ochaco for some reason. No one really knows why though.

"Ochaco?!" Joshua exclaimed, poking her shoulder. She didn't react.

"This is normal," Taya mumbled, staring at Ochaco's still body. "We just need to get her to the mattress."

The children nodded and lifted her up. They hobbled over to the mattress and threw her onto it. Daniel climbed onto the bed and curled up beside Ochaco and closed his eyes, hoping to get more sleep.

"He really started to warm up to Ochaco, huh?" Joshua chuckled, grinning at his two sleeping friends. Taya nodded while Emily smiled.

I wish he would talk though... all of them thought. Daniel hadn't talked ever since they entered this prison.

"Now, back to the plan," Taya said, sitting beside the bed. The cousins followed her lead and sat down, facing her. "Do you have any suggestions, Em?"

"Well, we don't know of any exit or where there are guards," she said, tapping her chin. "I think that we need to get more information on the place as a whole before we rush into anything."

"How are we going to do that?" Joshua asked, confused. "We're never going down those other hallways and if we try to run, they'll just catch us."

Emily and Joshua started arguing while Taya stared at the floor.

'... if we try to run...'

Taya glanced at the cousins arguing, then to Daniel and Ochaco sleeping peacefully on the mattress.

What if...?

"What if we do run?" Taya suggested, turning back to the cousins. They both turned to Taya, their eyes wide and their mouths open.

"WHAT?!"

"Just hear me out!" Taya hissed, holding up her hands. "I think that if one of us runs, we can get a little information!"

"What about when you get caught?!" Joshua exclaimed, Emily nodding beside him.

"They won't do anything to me!" Taya replied, confidence in her voice. "I'm one of his pReCiOuS test subjects! Why would he get rid of me?"

"But he has more!" Emily aruged, sitting on her knees to be taller than Taya. "US!"

"Yeah!" Joshua agreed, copying Emily. "He can just replace you! One or all of us would be getting even more injections!"

"But," Taya started, a smirk on her lips, "I'm the only one with his red tests inside me! There's not another soul that can handle them unless he started with someone new, which would be too much of a pain for Bird Brain anyways! Trust me!"

Emily and Joshua glanced at each other, not entirely convinced.

"I guess..." Emily muttered, hanging her head. Taya grinned.

"I'll try tomorrow!" she exclaimed, her grin growing. Emily and Joshua's eyes widened. They wanted to argue, but they knew that she wouldn't listen. They don't know why they argued with her in the first place. They both nodded. "Now, let's get some sleep before we get injected."

The three children climbed onto the mattress and cuddled with the other two. Taya closed her eyes with a smile.

Don't worry, Mom! I'm coming!

Sorry it's short, but I hope you enjoyed. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!
