Emily was pacing around the room, her nerves scattered all over the place. Ochaco was hugging Daniel as they sat on the mattress while Joshua stood by, watching his cousin pace.
"Shouldn't she be back by now?!" the yellow haired girl exclaimed, turning to her friends.
"We have no way of knowing the time and we don't know when she was taken," Ochaco said with a shrug. "It could be hours or a few minutes from when she left."
Emily groaned loudly, stopping her pacing, finally.
"We're just as worried for Taya, Em, bu-"
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M FEELING!" Emily shouted, glaring at Joshua with tears in her eyes. "I AGREED WITH HER PLAN! IT'LL BE MY FAULT IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED!"
"Both of us agreed with her knowing that it wasn't a good idea, Em," Joshua reasoned.
This is weird, Ochaco and Daniel thought, glancing at each other, Josh is never the voice of reason.
"BUT-"
Crreeeaaaakkkkk!
Everyone turned to the door, expecting the guard to come in with an unconscious Taya...
They were wrong...
Overhaul stood in the doorway, staring at each other the children. Emily stepped back while Joshua took a step towards her. Ochaco and Daniel hugged each other tighter with Ochaco petted Daniel's head. Overhaul's gaze stayed on Ochaco for a second longer, not that anyone noticed, and then turned to Emily with a sigh.
"Since you're the closet to me," he mumbled, reaching into his jacket, "I guess I'll leave this to you."
Emily hesitantly held out her small hands only to catch a plastic bag that's used for carnival gold fish filled with a fleshy object covered in a dark red liquid.
"Uh..." Emily mumbled, holding the plastic bag away from her.
Overhaul grabbed the handle to the door and faced the hallway.
"You'll be getting a new guard tomorrow."
The children were confused.
Did something happen to the other one?
"And..." Overhaul glanced at them with glowing yellow eyes, "take care of #3 for me."
BANG!

They just sat there. They were in a circle around the plastic bag. They couldn't believe it. They didn't want to believe it...
Taya was dead... killed... turned into a heart shaped mush of flesh...
This-... This is all my fault! Emily thought, choking back sobs. If I just had argued with her! Maybe she wouldn't have di-... die-...
I can't believe it... She's really gone... Joshua thought, wiping his continuous tears. Who will chase me around the park when I do something stupid?! Why did it have to be her?!
What are we... What are we going to tell her mom...? Daniel questioned as silent tears ran down his cheeks, leaning on Ochaco.
Ochaco stared at the heart of flesh with dull brown eyes as a single tear slowly made its way down her cheek.
Taya... I didn't know as well as the others here but-... Thank you... You gave me hope when I had none left. And I'm not going to let your hope die! ... I'm not going back to who I was... I hope you will be able to rest in peace...
Ochaco turned to the door. The huge metal door that was one little obstacle in their plans of escape.
I wish I could take you out myself, Overhaul, but I know that I can't. Not with your guards, army, and quirk. So I'll do the next best thing, taking away your test subjects.
This was short, but it had to be done! They needed to find out. It's sad, but necessary. Go beyond, PLUS ULTRA!
