Escape Room (Part Three)

The gargoyle powered down instantly. It appeared that it ran on batteries and they were located in its gonads. More crudely, its balls.

"Well done," the voice (Mary) announced. "Now, I've heard recently that you pranked your girlfriend and made her cry. Perhaps you're stalking her to try to apologise?"

"I did make a deal with my sister to prank our partners. And I do believe that I crossed the line, so I'm trying to apologise to her," Kirari replied smoothly. "She deserves more than that. I do love her very much."

Mary sighed as she heard sobbing from Sayaka.

"KIRARI!!!!!" she cried.

"Shut up!" Mary hissed. "I'm not done with them yet!"

The floor opened and Kirari and Ririka fell into another room filled with piranhas.

Ririka woke up with a start and screamed.

"P-P-P-Piranhas!" she screamed.

*Gore Warning! (Kinda)*

Ririka cried out as a piranha sunk its teeth into her arm and slowly ripped it off.

"Nooo! I'm sorry! I shouldn't have pranked Mary! Please stop!" she cried.

Kirari herself found herself laughing. "Wonderful! So this is how my life ends......Sayaka, my only regret is that I never saw you again."

She opened her arms and welcomed the swarm of piranhas and allowed herself to be overwhelmed.

Ririka show up from bed. A VR set covered her head and eyes. Several wires were pasted onto her skin. Flinging the VR headgear away, and removing the wires. Ririka scanned her surroundings.

"What...what happened?"

"Hm, seems like someone has learnt her lesson."

Ririka looked up and saw her girlfriend, standing in front of her with her arms crossed.

"M-M-Mary!!!!!" Ririka exclaimed.

"...Or has she...?" Mary wondered.

"I have! I p-promise!" Ririka said, starting to sob again. "I shouldn't have pranked you! I-I'll never d-do it again! I'm s-sorry......!"

Mary's eyes softened and she embraced Ririka.

"Shh, don't cry Ririka," she said soothingly. "I forgive you."

Kirari calmly removed the headgear and wires, placing the headgear on the nightstand beside her.

She looked down to her side and chuckled as she espied a beautiful girl with dark violet hair sleeping beside her bed.

"Sayaka," she whispered, nudging her girlfriend. "Wake up darling."

Sayaka woke up slowly and let out a slight squeal as she made eye contact with Kirari.

"K-K-K......!"

Kirari merely gazed at Sayaka.

"I'm sorry."

Sayaka jolted. "W-What?"

Kirari cupped Sayaka's cheek with one hand.

"I'm sorry," she repeated. "I know I hurt your feelings. I should've never made that bet with Ririka. I promised you I would never let anyone make you feel unworthy and I ended up doing it to you because of a prank."

Sayaka was taken aback. Her shock multiplied tenfold as a tear slipped down Kirari's cheek.

"I'm not very good at expressing my love for you, Sayaka. But without a doubt I know that you are the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with," Kirari admitted truthfully. "I really do love you, Sayaka."

Sayaka trembled like a leaf as she felt tears of her own cascade down her cheeks. Letting out a soft cry, she tackled Kirari and melted into her arms, crying into her shoulder.

"Kirari......!"

Kirari chuckled, stroking Sayaka's hair tenderly and pressing soft kisses to the top of her head.

Sayaka's hysterical crying eventually subsided into soft sniffles and the occasional tears, which Kirari kissed away.

In a moment of confidence, Kirari took Sayaka's hand in hers and placed it on her own heart.

"This is yours Sayaka," she vowed. "I am yours."

Sayaka found herself choking up with emotion once more. She took a few breaths to steady herself before kissing her girlfriend on the cheek.

"I love you too Kirari," she promised bashfully. "I'm forever yours and yours alone."
