a/n: I've just realized I made my recent updates a bit more wordy compared to the older chapters. I'll try to revert back to my previous style before to keep the scenes at a faster pace. I also realized that my synopsis for the story really sucks. Hopefully I can rewrite to a better one. Maybe in the summer when I have more time.

Im struggling to focus on a lot of things. Any helpful tips? We're starting our thesis paper. I honestly just want to graduate.

At breakfast in the Great Hall...

The smell of freshly cooked bacon lingered in the air as Harry and Hermione along with their friends in their house sat at the Gryffindor's table to have breakfast. Yesterday, they had spent the entire Transfiguration class learning how to perform basic switching spells. None of their fellow Gryffindors were surprise when the two best friends had been the first one to successfully turn their matches to silver needles.

Neither Ron, Dean, Neville, Seamus Parvati nor Lavender were jealous of their accomplishments, as they knew it was impossible to compete with a hardworking genius and her magically gifted best friend. Although, they did enjoy watching the funny begrudging expressions of some Slytherins when they realized they were bested by two Gryffindor's like them. They enjoyed it all the more when all of them had managed to make their matches silver, thanks to the tutelage of the two prodigies, earning them 10 house points. All in all everything went well despite the little exploding accident, seconds after Seamus had manages to transfigure his own match to a silver needle.

Amused, Harry watched Dean, the usually playful teaser, slowly inch away from Seamus as the young half-blood wizard continued to whack away the air, with the most aggressive wand movement Harry has ever saw.

"Eye of rabbit. Harp string hum. Turn this water into rum."

"What is Seamus trying to do to that glass of water?" asked Harry as he held up some toasted jam towards the mouth of the studious witch who sat beside him. Maintaining her sight and hands on her advance potion book, Hermione took a bite of the toast, not so conscious of the fact that her best friend was feeding by hand, an act only initmate couples do, as the studious witch was determined to be prepared to answer any tricky questions their strict potions professor would ask for their next class.

"His trying to turn it into rum." His mouth was still full when Ron answered the obvious question, taking another bite of the tall stack of pancakes on his plate.

The young Granger witch cringed as she watched as crumbs from the gluttonous redhead's mouth landed on the page she was reading. "For Merlin's sake, Ron. Just swallow before you speak. You don't even have to chew. Let's just leave it up to fate if you die from choking."

Harry grabbed some tissues helping his nest friend clean the book. Hermione's words were pretty harsh but Harry knew that she was already doing her best to maintain her patience as she was still angry that Ron had almost gotten them in trouble by chattering away during potions. At the end of the day, they decided to accept the Ron's apology who even offered his special stash of chocolate frogs as an apology. They knew he was being sincere as they knew how much the glutonous redhead enjoyed indulging im delicious foods.

Ron swallowed his food feeling egg on his face as he reigned in his urged to insult the bushy brown haired witch back to relieve some of his embarrassment. He decided to let it go and just take the advice of the bossy witch.

"Seamus actually managed to make weak tea yesterday, before it- " Ron continued, moving the focus away from his lack of table manners and back to Seamus when the chalice filled of water detonated. "Exploded just like that."
