The whole street was bustling with people. Vendors were out and about selling cauldron, potions, broomsticks, familiars and treats. The cobblestoned alley was absolutely bursting with magical goods. At the side of the road near the one of the border entrance of the place, stood two kids gawking at the extraordinary sight.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley!" said the black bearded man who accompanied the two wonderstrucked youngsters.
Harry and Hermione could not contain the excitement in their eyes. It was only earlier this year they had learned that there was a whole other world filled with magical beings like them.
Before that, they had spent their lives thinking they were the only two in the world who could do out of the ordinary things. Even after meeting the goblins, the two best friends could still not wrapped their heads at the idea that somewhere in this world were places hidden from the eyes of muggles, filled with simply out of the ordinary things for out of the ordinary people like them.
Now, the two best friends stood at one of those said places, along with Harry's free spirited godfather and his friend.
".....The alley is filled with an assortment of restaurants and shops for any item every witch or wizard would need." The old prankster was practically jumping inside as he led the kids towards the streets.
Remus Lumpin could only shook his head at his friend's present animated behaviour. He was no different from the excited children despite supposedly being one of their adult supervision. The werewolf admits that he too was thrilled to be roaming out freely after almost a decade of isolation. But he knew he was going to have to put a cap on his own enthusiam because between him and Sirius' overly energetic self today, he was going to have to step into the role of the adult in charge today.
"So where do you want to go first, kids?" Remus asked before his erratic friend could drag them to who knows where.
Sirius pouted but nevertheless kept his silent. He knew that the high-strung werewolf was going to rein in all his fun. Remus rolled his eyes at the petulant man-child and turned to face the kids.
Though Remus may find his friend's very eccentric charater quite charming most of the times, Sirius would not be the first candidate he would choose to look after his first born child.
Lumpin didn't know what kind of magical spell Sirius used to be able to convince Cristine and Ben to let the children go on this magic fieldtrip of his. Heck, Remus didn't even know how he managed to convince him to live with him in his muggle house and drag him along all his shenanigans all this years.
"A BOOKSHOP!"
The bushy brown haired girl pointed in glee before running off to enter the store. Harry could only chuckle at his bookworm of a friend and run after the adrenalized girl.
"Of course." Sirius rolled his eyes before adjusting his blue tinted glasses and cap jogging after the kids. "To Flourish and Blotts it is the."
Remis followed. The two very attractive pair of wizards had witches' turning heads on every corner. While Sirius was succesfully ignoring all the onlookers, Remus felt antsy from all the extra attention they were receiving, especially from some of the elder wizards and witches who looked at them with great disdain who were parading around in their muggle clothes. So he doubled his pacing and they entered the shop.
The bookshop, itself was fairly empty. There wasn't much customers who visited the shop today. But the bushy brown haired girl running around through the bookshelves was enough to make the whole shop's atmosphere full and lively.
